I did not purchase this to use as a bench. My husband and I have a library (actually we live mostly in this room) which has shelves and a desk so I wanted something that was a little different to use for my own personal storage that really didnt look like office furniture. I have alot of paperwork and the piece I was using didnt hide anything and looked unorganized.
This bench is perfect for my needs. I use the top for my phone, pen holder, a picture.not as a place to sit. Then the underneath storage is for storage of office things. I absolutely love the idea of the baskets. My only complaint is that I feel are not the best quality and that I will have to replace them before long. I also wish they were larger.
I love the color of the wood and the size of the bench is just perfect for me. I am very happy with this choice. I compared prices on the internet and found this to be good as well.

the perfect solution for front door entrance clutter. slippers tuck away below bench, oversize footwear drops into baskets, and shelf will hold 4-6 pairs of sneakers comfortably. assembly was straightforward after you familiarize yourself with the instructional diagrams. material is made from solid wood, unlike particle board used by European big box retailer giant.
Im placing this item in my master bath so time will tell how it holds up to the moisture, but on delivery, the product seems solid and is very attractive. For the price, one expects some particle board (as is the back panel) but should hold up nicely in a non-highly trafficked area. I would certainly purchase from again.
Unfortunately the top of the bench loosens and causes the entire structure to shift back and forth if you exert too much pressure on it. While a person can sit on the bench and hear no cracking noises and it feels secure, if you shift your weight the bench top will shift slightly laterally in both directions. Weve tried tightening the bolts once already which lasted maybe a few days maximum. Will try again but I am disappointed given all of the great reviews of this bench. The bolts are also a bit difficult to easily reach for tightening once its been put together.
I bought this bench to store hats/gloves/scarves as well as kids shoes. It works well for this purpose. Its attractive and functional, well worth the price! I would note though, if you were looking to store adult shoes in here, it wouldnt hold much. My kids sneakers fit height-wise, but just barely. I could probably put slippers in there, but not regular adult shoes. This bench is on the small side, so keep that in mind!
All in all, Im very happy with this purchase!
It would it be a lot better if it had a cushion. I bought this thinking I was going to be able to find a cushion later, and I was wrong. I have been looking for over a year now, and mission impossible!
Looks really nice and It is holding up well so far. Took less than 30 mins to put together. Super easy only 5 major pieces and the backing.

Very easy to assemble. Pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly. Seems quite sturdy as well. My only complaint is the back ridge on the seat looked to be beat up, discolored, and poorly repaired. I plan to put a cushion on the bench which will hide the obvious blemish, but it would have been preferable to not have such an obvious visible defect.
