Best full over full we could find, not disappointed

--Packaging, Delivery and First Impressions-- The bunk bed came in 3 separate (heavy) packages. From the outside, it looked to have been packaged well for transport. Ours had a few dings and scrapes on the box but allowed the delivery anyway as the reviews had stated that the packaging was good inside and we werent disappointed, Styrofoam galore! The boxes were heavy (go figure!) so itll be best if you have help. --Assembly-- Assembling can be done by one person (it took me about 2 1/2 hours) but Id highly recommend another pair of hands. The first hour or so was spent laying out the parts and screws in order and visualizing the instructions in my head before starting. Id highly recommend you study the first three pages of the instructions before you begin, they all look the same at the start but they actually show slightly different information. For example, the first page shows the overall construction. The second shows which posts are the header/footer combinations. The third starts the detailed steps. A few random assembly thoughts/hints: 1. You WILL NEED power tools for this regardless of what anyone or the instructions tell you. Some of the screws are almost 4 inches long and theres no way youre manually cranking the provided wrench for the whole bed. Youll need two types if bits, allen and phillips. 2. The bottom headboard and footboard combo is the same in terms of assembly. 3. The top headboard and footboard combo is different so be careful which parts you use. You will also need to visualize which side will be the inside and the outside while putting them together. 4. The three support beams (1 for the bottom and 2 for the top) are installed curved side facing down. It took me a bit to figure this out as the instruction wasnt clear on this. Youll think its common sense once youve put it all together but this part was confusing during the actual assembly. 5. The metal brackets that hold the middle support beams are drilled directly into the headboard and footboard frames. There are no pre-slotted or pre-holed guides to help on this one. Just line up the bottom part of the metal bracket with the lower-end of the lower horizontal beam and just screw directly into the wood. 6. As with any particle wood furniture, youll need to let up on the power drill when the screws get close to being all the way in. I totally forgot and the first screw is now imbeded very firmly inside the headboard..... --Overall thoughts-- This bed was definitely (borrowing another reviewers phrase for this product) the best bang for the buck full over full bed on the market... online anyway. The outer frame is your typical particle wood furniture and as with other slat beds, the slats are of the real 2x4 variety. What was surprising (and reassuring) was that the side beams that hold these slats and the middle support beams were also solid wood. The instructions were a bit simplified but adequate. As for any wobbling, it wobbles just as much as any other non-solid-wood bunk bed Ive seen in my life, no-more no-less. The kids are enjoying it and my and wife I are happy we made the purchase. We would recommend to any budget-minded family.

Nice and sturdy! Needs clearer instructions

The directions werent all that clear, however my husband and I was able to put it together in a couple hours. Its much sturdier than I expected. Excellent buy for the $$$

    Love them!!!!

We got the white bunk beds, and my girls absolutely love them. I do love the full size, which is very hard to find. All the parts were received and packaging s great.

    A good value!

Purchased this with some trepidation due to the low price for full size bunk bed frames. It was a complex assembly with dicey instructions. Materials appeared very cheap and flimsy. On several occasions screws had to be installed where no pre-drill had been made. Yet, 3 months later, my 14 and 17 year old sons have had no problems with the beds. The frames appear to be holding up well. Only real gripe is the head clearance on the bottom bunk is much tighter than the photo would suggest.

For the price, you can not beat this bed.

Go to any furniture store, and you will spend at least double the price for this bed. Of course, this extra money is because the bed youre now buying will be delivered and put together. However, if youre handy EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST, you can put this bed together by yourself. The bed arrived in 3 50lb boxes, all meticulously flat-packed. There was not too much styrofoam, as I was expecting, and everything was easy to unpack. Each piece is given a number, and it corresponds to the directions, which were easy enough to read and understand. Every piece was used, and in the end, the bed is holding up great. Now to answer some common questions about home assembly. You do NOT need power tools to put this bed together. I used only the allen wrench which came with it, and a phillips screwdriver. Thats not to say a power drill wouldnt have helped, so if you have one, congrats, but its not essential. You will be able to get the screws in yourself without one just fine, as the screws are all self-tapping and the wood is just manufactured press board, not solid oak. You dont need a second person, although it would help in the step where you lift the top bunk to rest on top of the bottom bunk. This was the only part that was kind of tricky, but the unit is so light (not to the point of being flimsy) you can lift it yourself. The bed is sturdy. I am 190lbs, and have used both bunks as well as the ladder, and have done so with normal force and weight applied, all with no creaks or cracks or sounds of stress to be heard. I will admit to not having jumped on it, nor performing the peoples elbow upon it however. To conclude, you will be happy with this bed, and be able to assemble it if you have any kind of sense. Mine looks great, and I couldnt be happier. The money I saved on it allowed me to get even nicer mattresses and bedspreads for it.

    Great beds

This is an excellent product. Shipping was free and fast via UPS. The packaging was some of the best Ive seen in all my years of buying flat-packed furniture by mail. Putting the bed together took 2 of us a couple of hours. It only took THAT long because I did a thorough parts check and followed the instructions to the letter. All in all, a great purchase! I would definitely recommend this bed.

all in all good for the $

Some of the screws striped out very easy due to cheap wood ...but after together seems pretty solid and looks good
