Im an engineer by trade but you definitely dont need to be an engineer to put it together. It took me 2 hrs to put together the twin XL bed. Seems to be plenty sturdy. Its a $213 bed so I knew what I was getting myself into as far as quality of materials goes. Its on the same quality as any furniture you get from IKEA or Target, compressed board and cam locks. Its not the type of furniture that will last a lifetime, but for a babies room that you know the furniture will be temporary- its perfect for the task. Id suggest this product.
This platform storage bed has been working very well since we put it together about 4 months ago. We followed other peoples recommendation of installing corner brackets and foam insulation like you install around windows under the bed slats. We only moved the bed a little bit to get it where we wanted it and have not moved it since. I would not buy this bed if you are the type of person that moves often. Drawers work ok but are little better than I would expect for a bed in the price range.
I bought this for my teenage son and it is great!! He is 6ft 2in tall and very hefty!! It doesnt creak or shift when he moves!! And he loves the bed!! BONUS!!!
Part assembled nicely, used a cordless drill to speed up time (still look over an hour to complete) with the torque turned way down.
Finished part looks good, reduced a star for drawers not being flush when closed (one part of the drawer touches the frame when closed and other side has a small gap).
Ordered the king size frame, could use deeper drawers, as there is about 2 feet of unusable space in the center on the floor. Easy spot to hide things If you remove the drawer?
This bedframe was good for the price. It is a downer that the quality of the wood is not as good as you would like as a wood lover but then it'd be more expensive. Is smooth and sleek and the drawer space under the bed is an awesome feature for saving space.

Nice frame
I like the frame. It does take some time to assemble. Take your time and use a drill driver.
Twin size beds are fine the way they are
Just got a Twin XL size bed and while I won't say that it's the most sturdy bed out there, it definitely feels sturdy enough to hold my 220 pounds.
