I purchased this specifically to replace the wood frame on my existing sleigh bed.
Fit: I wanted this to fit inside my existing bed frame, but it was too wide. I had to completely remove side panels and manually attach head and foot boards.
Sturdiness: It is more sturdy than the wood frame, at least I dont feel like it will collapse if I jump into bed. But, it does shift a little, squeeks and slides around.
Height: It says a boxspring is optional, but there is no way I would add a boxspring to this frame unless I was a giant. I am 55 and had to scale the mattress to get into bed. It was comical.
Came missing a bolt, had to go buy one. Went together easy enough besides that. Makes a lot of unsettling noise, pulled matress off to check and everything is tight. Just really noisy, makes me uncomfortable to move on it. Does have great storage and seems like it could be sturdy if it didnt always sound like its breaking.
