I have two grands that spend the night from time to time. I needed sturdy s. This set fit the bill. The 17 y.o put it together by herself in 3/ 4 hours. As with the other reviews, this is a HEAVY box so you will need help. So get yourself asome muscles or borrow some. Follow instructions to the letter. I am very pleased with this purchase. Adult son (250 LBs) spent 2 nights last week. He slept like a baby.
I had read previous reviews that stated this bed is very sturdy. I wasnt so sure that would be the case before assembling it / however, once assembled it is very strong and sturdy! It was also easy to put together. I put it together by myself, so it took about 3 hours. But I didnt rush and could have probably finished it sooner. The only thing I can fault it on are the steps. The rungs are too small and they hurt my sons feet. The finish also had some light scratches that occurred in shipping. A great bed for the price.
This bed went together super easy in about an hours time, is very sturdy, and well/made. Great price! Love the how the bar slats fit in the base of the bed with plastic inserts to snug them up into the frame so they dont shift. Perfect set for my sisters 8 10 year old!
This bed is so perfect for our boys! My fiance and I have been promising his son and his stepson a bed ever since he moved into my house almost three years ago, and we finally delivered on our promise. This bed is a lot sturdier than it seemed when we were initially putting it together; its perfect for one nearly adult/size older boy on the bottom , and the smaller guy on the top. My fiance was able to put it together by himself during an evening when I was out of the house, and it easily supports both of our weights. Were so happy with it, and cant wait for the boys to stay with us this summer!
2 hours to put together with 2 people. Pretty well built. Does shake a bit but no squeaking. Instructions were great except for one part. My son loves it.

A well made, sturdy bed!
