This bed is a good value for the price but just be prepared for it to take 2 hours to put together. Also having 2 or 3 people to assist isn't the worst idea. Once it's built it is awesome and does seem to be sturdy but the assembly of it is not fun.
We love this bed frame! Its perfect for my 2.5 year old! She absolutely loves it! She is still getting the hang of going up and down the ladder, but weve only had it for a week, and shes going really well. So Im sure we will get there in no time! My daughters bedroom is really small so I love that this bed allows her to have the extra floor space for play. We got the full size option so that we could have adult guests sleep in her room when visiting, if needed. The bed says it has a 500 lb max weight.
My husband and I put it together in about 1.5 hours. We used a drill instead of the tools included, which really made things go faster. All the prices for the bed were included and were in perfect condition. I found it really easy to put together. However the directions are very ikea reminiscent - no words, just pictures. So thats something to consider if you dont like that type of instruction. All the pieces are numbered On the ends to match the instructions, which I found very very helpful.
Once assembled the bed looks great and seems very sturdy! I would highly recommend this bed!
The pros of this bed. I loved that the numbers were printed on the ends of the pieces I always hate when the stickers are on the pieces in plan view when put together. Directions were pretty clear. It was packaged well. It also works and my daughter is happily sleeping on it and it seems pretty sturdy. The cons were one of the dowels was to long and we had to cut it to size which was annoying in the middle of building. Some of the wood splintered when we put the screws in (they weren't structural). The wood had a couple of dings and black marks on the white bed. I would say its a 2 person build. The overall look is nice. I am not sure how long the bed will last hopefully a long time.
This bed completely took care of my storage space needs with the approx 3 feet height underneath. Its very aestheticly pleasing and sturdy enough to hold 500 pounds. The only downside is the directions are not the clearest and there is a ton of hex screws u have to tighten with just an Allen key that takes forever. Very pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend.
Took like 6 hours to assemble but I know it was done right because its pretty sturdy. Had to add an extra tall rail for my windmill sleeper but we love it otherwise. My daughter has more play space below the bed now! Would recommend to others who are trying to maximize floor space for toddlers but aren't quite ready for a tall loft bed.
Ive put together a lot of furniture and this loft has the best instructions and labeling then any of the others Ive purchased.
Took me 3-4 hours to put the full size loft bed together alone 6 months pregnant.
Turned out great for my 16 month old, I put a mattress under it for now as she isnt big enough or old enough to climb the ladder and sleep on the top. My 7 yr old and 5.5 yr old have had a slumber party on the top bed with no issues.
Overall the bed frame is solid, as in it hasnt fallen down yet and doesnt make any creaking noises. Unfortunately though the two main support beams underneath the mattress have both snapped since putting the bed together(Ive owned the frame just over a month) Also the side wood panels surrounding the mattress are a bit flimsy, Im 130lbs and I almost broke those just by leaning my shoulder against it.
Update:
I originally gave this 1 star. I updated it after calling customer service. They helped us right away.
To start, a few pieces arrived rough, with paint not smooth. We decided to move forward. When we were nearing the end, the rails kept falling although we had three adults putting the bed together. This scratched up the paint terribly. The rails kept falling because piece 16 is too long. Each time we put in piece 16, the other rails would fall. 16 is so bowed that we can't put 10 on the bed. This bed isn't nearly as sturdy as it should be and we've wasted time and resources for something our child was so excited about. We're beyond disappointed.
