It was bigger than I expected but I like it. My kids are in love with it. I purchased 2 and am so glad that I did. Unlike the other Hilsdale brand that I purchased earlier in December, these came on time and not damaged.
There was no assembly manual in the box. We did find the assembly manual online at living.com, with the manual and following the instructions the loft bed went together pretty good. Took 2 of us to work on it. Spent most of the afternoon (old woman and a teenager). No parts missing. No parts broken. Once put together it looks nice and appears sturdy. Desk and dresser put under the loft making more open space in the bedroom. This bed is SOOOO SOOO sturdy. EXACTLY what my husband and I wanted for our 3 year old daughter. She was ready to get rid of her toddler bed and needed more room to sleep so she could sleep with all her stuffies and needed more room for playing. This bed is perfect. Came in a box all together. Everything in it to build the bed. Took about 3 hours. But 10000% worth the time. The instructions my husband said were a little vague. But he seemed to do just fine putting it together. This bed is worth every penny. Our daughter LOVVVVED IT!! She is soooo sooo happy with her big girl bed!! She couldnt wait to go to bed and I can not wait to play in her room with her.

The instructions were well written and easy to understand. I really like it. It can be a pain to climb up and down in the middle of the night, but since the ladder/steps have a good width, they are not uncomfortable.

The bed wasnt as hard as I thought to put together.The instructions are very clear, i emread thur before I started. The power drill was a big help, if you dont have a power drill get a ratchet screw driver. It was packaged well, and had no damaged parts.

11 year old loves this bed. It is a little shaken. Make sure to tighten screws every other week or so
