The futon arrived pretty much put together - all we had to do was put the legs on.
The piece looks nice and modern. However it is not comfy at all. (My kids Described it as laying on a ping pong board)
The one main complaint that I have with it is that when you have it as a couch, the two back prices of the couch dont line up together. One piece sits back a bit further than the other piece. So if you are sitting right smack in the middle of the couch and you are leaning back against the back piece of the couch it feels weird because the two pieces are not aligned.
My spouse is VERY handy and tried several different things to fix the issue however he was unsuccessful. He wanted me to send it back however.. I dont feel like dealing with all of the hassle of taking it back apart to return it so we are just keeping it.
We bought it for my daughters room (for her seating area) so it will be fine.
I have two of this exact model, along with the matching chair. I have slept on this thing for almost 2 years straight. Its best to use a mattress topper for sleeping because you will be stiff if you dont. It does not hurt my back and I sleep comfortably. I moved into a small apartment and have one to sleep on, and one for my living area. I love that its multi-position to be flat, upright, or both at once. Its a great budget futon and I have no problems with it. Very simple to assemble and comes with the only tool youll need. You can also take it apart for transport. Of course its not going to be cushy like a $500 sofa is. For the price, I think its a perfect piece of furniture, especially if youre trying to budget/live in a small space.

The reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because theres a strong chemical smell that hasnt gone away after about a week. Its not unbearable, but its still there and I can smell it when Im sitting on the couch. Im hoping it eventually goes aways.
Absolutely gorgeous for the price... so easy putting it together. My only complaint was how difficult it was to get out of the box. I plan on purchasing another for my college age daughter who needs furniture for her apartment. Comfort level is decent for a futon and for younger people who are looking for a reasonable priced piece of furniture thats functional. Ordered pillows for it.
The leg assembly is incorrect. The one set with straight legs screws right into place no problem. The other set which has the leg attachment connecting at a decorative angle is totally off . Instead of having three screws attaching to the wood frame only one does, which makes it totally unusable. You need to replace the legs or find another way to support it.

Ive had this futon for a year and its fallen to peices,Its super cute but not much for comfort, Dont recomend for every day sleep.
