    Expected a little more

The bed is nice looking we ordered the midnight blue. The instructions are not clear even though the instructions are pictures. One instruction says not leave a gap at the head and foot of the bed while positioning the slats but there is no way to do this. I did contact customer service and was told its okay to leave the gaps and this would not affect the safety of the bed and they would update their instructions. Customer service was prompt in answering any questions or concerns I had. Feeling some type of way about the bed being made in Vietnam when wood furniture takes pride in being an American company. There are not enough slats to give good support. The predrilled holes to secure the slats to the bed were not complete so we had to make some adjustments. The wheels on the trundle bed do no lock so it slide pretty easy on low profile carpet. The trundle is very flimsy I wish I had just ordered 2 twin beds or bunk bed. The Trundle does not fit flush with the side of the bed so Im worried about my little ones fingers getting smashed. The slats on the headboard do not go all the way down so you can see the mattress on trundle bed it looks tacky. With normal wear Im not expecting this bed to last more than a year or two.

    Ok for the money

The wood cut for the trundle was slightly off, still fits under the bed but you can visually tell that it wasnt cut straight.

Great bed, and a trundle support hack.

Great beds easy to assemble. My only thing was the trundle, the wooden slats are far apart and you cN feel them since the trundle mattress has to be pretty thin. We went to Home Depot and bought 6 more boards and slid them in between and its perfect now. I think it cost $3 each so a cheap easy fix.

    Packaged well

We bought this bed for our daughter after first ordering another one. The previous one cost more and came damaged. We tried contacting the company for replacement parts (head board, footboard AND trundle were all cracked) , however we had to jump through one hoop after another. We finally gave up and returned the bed. Decided to go with this one and I am SO glad we did. It came well packaged. Not one part was damaged or even scratched. It was easy to assemble and had absolutely no odor to the bed. I felt so much better knowing my daughter was going to sleep without inhaling harmful chemicals like formaldehyde! This bed was also less expensive for us! Its very durable and well built. I will be searching for more products in the future! Thank you for this great product!

Broken pieces, item was not new

Its a cute bed and it should be easy to assemble, but we received an item that was obviously not new, someone had visibly tried to assemble it and broken some pieces, and deformed the central bar. We needed it and it was too much of a hassle to send it back so we managed to assemble it anyways but we were disappointed. Its also higher than I expected but I didnt pay enough attention to the sizes so thats my bad. It will do with a security rail.

Heavy package, need power drill / electric screwdriver

Just put it together, so far great first impressions. I did it alone, and with a half charged power drill for the screws. Took around 90 minutes with zero stress. Quite easy to do and the instructions are very clear. We put an 8 mattress on it and it might look a bit better with a 6, but we wanted something that would be comfy even for adults, just in case.

The bed slats are cheap and too far apart! Can definitely feel them through the mattress.

The bed itself is nice looking and seems ok. Until you try to sleep on it. We assembled it pretty easily, but when my husband opened the package with the wooden slats that go on the bed, it was immediately apparent that they are too far apart. There were about 5-6 slats TOTAL for the entire bed frame (twin size). Even with a firm mattress, I could feel the slats underneath. Way too few pieces. If you go to the and Lilly website online, you will see that they sell a brand new set of slats, which comes with TWICE as many pieces and is much sturdier. But of course that is $70 extra, you have to buy it separately. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a new bed if you ask me (they should be included!). When I contacted the company abut this, they told me the slats that come with this bed are the old version and the ones sold online are upgraded. Ok fine, but then dont sell the cheap version to customers online.
