You do need to be pretty handy to put this together. Youll need to drill some of your own holes, etc, but its not difficult. The bed is great quality. We had a problem with one of the wooden pieces and customer service was EXCELLENT in fixing the problem.

sturdy enough construction for the price
wasnt tall enough for a 10 mattress to fit on trundle. had to make feet for the bed to elevate it. sturdy enough construction for the price.
