My husband assembled this by himself in less than an hour. My son loves this bed. Its real wood and has stood up to him jumping on it. We got this for the trundle and it is also well made. My only issue is the trundle can roll fully out from under the bed. There is nothing holding it in place so sometimes if you step down from the upper bed to the trundle, it can slide out from under you. Ive experienced this as adult. I dont think a childs weight would be able to move the trundle.
This bed is sturdy and nice looking. It is time consuming to put together so be prepared. but it was easy to put together overall. What I liked the most is this bed allows us to save floor space during the day for playtime, but gives us the extra sleep space we needed. I used a 10 inch twin memory foam mattress and it fit really good. The same size can be used on the trundle too. I would buy this again.
This bunk bed is sturdy! Dont worry about your kids shaking ans squeaking, its very quiet. At first I thought the support bars across the beds themselves would collapse with little weight, but the plastic lock assemblies increase the weight limit drastically. My only complaint is that there were not enough lock assembly pieces to completely support the trundle bed, though admittedly we havent used it yet. Other than that, awesome product, very cheap, and super sturdy.
This bed is PERFECT for my three kiddos. I put the entire thing together ALONE in no time with a two year old helping. The trundle feature rolls in and out very easily although it is not attached to the actual frame in any way so this can be great or a pain depending on your intended use of the third bed. I was impressed with the company and actually went on to buy another bed fron them shortly after this one and was very happy with that one as well.
