I was skeptical about the cross chains but it catches very well. Its also very light which can be a problem. Its heavy enough to catch a fast and I have made a 330+ plus hole in one on the fly but its best to stake the basket down or it can blow over in a stiff breeze.
I had one blow off a stump and all the welds that hold the basket in place at the collar failed. I had to weld them back on. Granted its not designed to take a 6/foot tumble but it is a trade/off with a lighter more portable basket.
I do plan to buy a couple more. To prevent the baskets from falling in the wind, I cut up stiff wire hangers and bent them into a U shape to use as stakes. A large rock or a log laid across the base will work as well.
Its a great basket for the price. I use it in my yard to practice putts and it works great. I wouldnt suggest lugging it all over the place but it is very easy to lift and move from my garage to the yard and back. Paint doesnt look like it would hold up well if left outside uncovered. I will keep storing it in my garage for the time being but might buy an 8 x 8 tarp and use a bungee to cover the basket and just leave it outside. I will also probably put on a coat of clear gloss (can spray) before I leave it outside on a regular basis otherwise the paint is sure to chip and rust. These are very minor complaints and I am otherwise very happy with my purchase! I would highly recommend this basket if you are looking for a good practice basket for your back yard. (I went with yellow for color and it sticks out really well against our tree line/foliage.)
Great at home basket. Purchased for my teen sons. They set up a course in the yard. They move the basket a few times during the round. The basket can be moved by one person but is pretty easy to move with 2. Seems to be holding up against the weather. Would recommend.
As others have stated, the box and packaging is pretty terrible. There is nothing in the box but metal and plastic bags. It should be padded in some way to avoid damage. My box had some holes from shipping, but arrived undamaged.
As another user stated, the pieces screw together with no gaskets, which results in metal on metal. This is especially bad on the sections where the basket parts attach. It is basically screwing metal onto uneven metal surfaces. I cut 5 gaskets out of some old rubber and it solved the problem wonderfully. Taking 1 star off for what I think is a major flaw because the paint would be scratched off after a few assembly/disassembly cycles inviting rust very easily.
Another thing is that the screw, threaded pipe, as well as the areas around it that the paint missed are not stainless and will definitely rust in time, so I went ahead and added general purpose grease to the threads and the general connection area to keep off the rust.
Chains are nice and heavy, feels like it will hold up, especially with the changes I made. The goal looks fantastic, the paint is done well. I will be keeping it in a 3 sided shed most of the time and move it out for usage. Will update if it falls apart or rusts prematurely.
If you want to practice on a basket that has the same characteristics, without buying the professional, fixed models, then this is for you. Very easy to assemble and move around the back yard. Great compromise on weight and portability. Gives a very true target and characteristic for backyard practice without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for those who place more value on using course quality basket vs. light and easily portable.
Well closed courses and social distancing has given me an excuse to buy a practice basket for my backyard. I wanted one that was large enough to approximate baskets you might see at local courses. The pro does the trick. It is sturdy and wont wobble around as you fire off into it. It basically assembles by just screwing the pieces together. No tools were needed. It came with some spikes to secure the basket, but I dont think they are necessary as I like to move my basket around. I wouldnt call it portable though as it is heavy. So lugging it to a local park is do/able but not necessarily easy. But if you want something for your backyard, this is perfect.
This is the greatest value and quality basket! This is almost identical to the very popular MVP Black Hole Pro Basket at a huge mark down. I love this basket and have and will recommend to friends and ers.
I have been playing since 2005. This is obviously not a Mach x or anything like that but it runs the correct dimensions and is so damn cheap that there is no excuse not to practice putting. Yes the chains are not that great but spend a few bucks at the local hardware store on thicker chains for the middle and it will be damn great. I order it in New York, during the Covid 19 for practice while in quarantine and it got there in 24 hours! I dont know how but it did. Aming product for the price.

Its good at catching .

Good for the money
spit through. Expected it though. Really need a double chain basket to avoid that.
Great basket for the price, I would highly recommend it!

Good quality, but missing obvious improvements

As good as the real course!
