I love my island and it fits nicely inside my small apartment kitchen. The assembly, however, took a long time and I needed help at certain points to flip it upside down and back. Make sure you have the tools and someone to help!
The time it took to assemble it was outweighed by the terrific appearance and overall sturdy and exceptional guality of this Kitchen Island . Glad I got the model with the dropleaf as you can never have enough extra work space and or serving/seating space when entertaining!
I purchased this product because of the price and color and I am pleased with it. Although made of particle board, it is very sturdy but you have to be careful not to strip the holes when inserting the screws. I was able to assemble it by myself (52 woman). All in all, if youre looking for something solid at a budget/friendly price, this unit is it.
Pros: it has a lot of storage and seems sturdy now that its together. We have moved it around a few times and everything seems great! The drawers slide easily and the magnetic latch holding the doors works perfectly. We had no issues with missing parts or parts not aligning.
Cons: it took 2 people almost 3 hours to put together. There are a lot of pieces!! Some of the hardware was marked wrong, but it is very easy to match them to pictures provided to find the right ones. Our table top had a small chip in it, but we didnt see it until it was all together and we were not taking it apart to send back. There is also a very strong smell when you open the doors or drawers. Almost like a spray paint type smell. We tried leaving the doors and drawers open to air it out, but the smell is still there.
Overall it was definitely the size and storage we needed. If youre willing to put in time to put the many pieces together, it is a good value for the price!
