I really like this primarily for its huge width but it also looks really nice with the dark wood finish. Ours came without any damage, a color pen in case of chipping, and all the materials needed to set it up.
It is a bit heavy and comes with a backing that you screw on with tons of mini screws (something that seemed a bit odd to me since Im used to tiny nails but it worked well enough). The backing has cable management holes so you can pipe everything through as well. The center shelves can be height adjusted to allow more room as needed but we found the center to be the best for our use case.
We ended up using it in our living room replacing a more expensive set because we needed the width to fit our receiver, center speaker, and projector. The width for this was great in that sense as it filled a need on our part. Id highly recommend it if you need something wide for your entertainment system setup that still looks good.
I like MDF (medium/density fiberboard) furniture for electronic/ pieces because investing in expensive furniture seems unwise because they can become dated so quickly. Unlike other home furnishings like a sofa, furniture for this purpose may experience greatly reduced utility by expected periodic changes to the configuration/style of electronics. For example my last had a small area for the and lots of room for DVDs. My DVDs are now loaded on a hard drive and I need a larger space.
This is a simple classic design that does the job without calling attention to itself. The MDF is covered with a brown/black laminate veneer. It arrives completely disassembled and required under an hour for two adults to construct. One person could manage the task alone but because of the length it goes a bit faster with two people. The unit has two shelves each with a choice of three positions.
Reminiscent of ikea instructions, the included directions are visual with step/by/step drawings that are reasonably easy to decipher. The parts and hardware are clearly labeled to avoid confusion. A medium size cross/head (Phillips) screwdriver is the only tool required for the locking/cam style and wooden dowel assembly hardware.
The instruction book states a flat/head/blade screwdriver is also necessary but it is not needed. The dowels fit loosely on this unit but it is conceivable the fit could be snug for some units so a mallet may be required. The thin backing board is attached with small Phillip head screws which I prefer over the usual method of tiny nails hammered into the back. After assembly with the cam locks tight the unit is solid.
My arrived completely undamaged. All the holes lined/up so no time was wasted tweaking ill/fitting pieces. When compared to other furniture of this type I have assembled it was impressive how well the piece came together. Thoughtful inclusions were a touch/up marking pen to cover any mars along with a bag of spare hardware parts just in case one is missing.
For the most part this is what Id expect for the money. I like the look, perfect width, and height. Has good amount of storage and it fits DVDs nicely. The instructions are decent, went together pretty quickly. The bad, the manufacturer shipped us a cracked finish board (in the pictures) the board itself wasnt cracked, just the finish, which was either an oversight or something they just shipped hoping for the best. The rear board the attaches to the back didnt line up perfectly, but Ive done enough of these put together types to know that most of them dont. We went and bought a to go on this , the maufacturer or description says this will fit a , we bought an LG that was and it fits perfectly. I suppose it depends on the style of . The touch up pen that came with the was broken into pieces and dried up upon arrival. Overall I think this is an average .
This is a pretty basic that gets the job done. It arrived well/packaged and protected with no damage to any of the pieces. The pre/cut pieces and pre/drilled holes all aligned well and assembly is pretty easy even for one person. I personally like the large spacious cubbies as were using this in a guest room and will store extra blankets and pillows in them. Most s have smaller shelves, so this one is a bit unique in that regard and works great for larger items. The finished piece is solid enough, though it does have a little side to side sway if you push on the end. Its made of fiberboard instead of real wood, so its heavy. All in all its a simple with the advantage of larger storage spaces. In the 100/150 price range its a pretty good deal.

Good product.
The instructions were complicated and vague. Be very careful not to install anything upside down. Once I got it assembled it looked great!
