Although the assembly instructions state two people are reuired to assemble I did it myself in less than an hour. The instructions were a little confusing at one point but I easily figured out the correct way.
The fit and finish of the assembly are good considering the price. I wasnt expecting mahagony or oak. I wasnt expecting a real wood appearance. But the veneer is a pleasant dark brown and doesnt detract from the overall appearance.
I have a on it and it fits perfectly. The doesnt extend over the sides or look too small for the . It fits just right.
The shelves wont fit some of my larger electronic pieces (e.g. a five disc DVD carousel) but my Blu/ray player, Tivo Raomio, and receiver) fit just fine.
Overall this is a solid and for the price.
Looks very nice. Minor adjustments had to be made due to broken pieces upon arrival and screws going through farther than intended.
Still looks great and holds the 60 very well.
This thing took about 30 minutes to assemble, but it wasnt hard. The instructions are dead simple. Theres a lot of screwing, so your life will be better if you have a cordless screwdriver. But be careful! The screws are butter soft and I rounded a couple of them. Luckily it comes with a bag of extra hardware. You will also need a regular Phillips head for putting on the doors, where its too tight for a cordless.
As far as how it all comes together and looks in a room, Im undecided. Its not the kind of furniture you pass on to future generations. Theres nothing wrong with it its quite stable, but the wood grain print veneer and MDF construction have me wondering if this can really go in the living room. Its more the sort of thing you want in a spare room or guest room. Or maybe a shed out back.
I guess at the end of the day, the description is accurate and the price is another clue that this isnt the finest furniture. But it is solid and strong, and will do the job.
not too hard to set up. took me about one hour. messed up twice / pay really close to directions. There are a couple parts where exact direction isnt clear, so you need to make sure youre looking hard at the pictures. did it by myself, dont need a second person. box is rather heavy. needed someone to help me carry it up some steps.
