I bought this island to hold extra, rarely used kitchen items. It looks great in our kitchen and I love how sturdy it is. I plan to move it to the center of my kitchen for more work space when I am canning. The shelves are and fit a canning pot with the three shelves in place. The drawers are deep and spacious. Personalizing this cabinet was easy and fun since all is a little boring. I would buy again, but hope it lasts many years.
I thought that it was relatively easy to put together, and it took me a couple hours total to complete. I did use a power drill to screw in many things which helped immensely. The countertop has a couple flaws. I could not get the doors to line up straight, but they do work. I love how its movable. Its very functional in my small apartment kitchen. It has a lot of space inside, and the drawers also hold a lot of things. It has given me the extra counter space I needed!
Took me 4 hours to build (Id say Im decent at these sort of things). Do NOT get this if you dont own a drill. I cant imagine assembling this without one. Everything is super sturdy except the drawer floors are super flimsy and I wouldnt put and substantial weight in them (more than 5/10 pounds). Same with the back panels which I could easily see breaking if you are using it in bar mode and somebody kicks the back even relatively hard. For the price it is a really good item, bit just know those are the two main breaking points. Besides those two weak points and the incredible setup time, the island is awesome, durable, and looks good!
One of the boxes was delivered on the soonest date given which was great. A couple of things to make it easier for the next person.1) The first box that arrived did not indicate that there was more than 1 box in the order, the second box had 2 of 2 on it. If you would state when ordered that it would ship in two boxes that would be helpful. 2) The directions were too small, I wear trifocal glasses and it was too small even for me to read. I had to use a magnifying glass. Now that it is together, It seems to be very solid it did take some time to put it together but not too bad all in all.
The kitchen island is beautiful and elegant to place in any space in the house, assembling it requires time and the pieces came with certain details, I imagine that some sheets suffered during their transfer.
The directions for this piece were fairly clear. It took a long time to assemble because one entire panel had all the pre bored holes in the wrong spot. This caused the drawers to not work and the side panel was not level. We were able to drill the holes but the result was a product with nails on the outside and the bottom drawer doesnt slide well. It is adequate but not sturdy. It will be fine for plastic or paper goods but is not sturdy enough for pans or dishes. The rollers work well so it adds a flexible work surface in a small space. Not a great value for the money.
I did do some reaserch when buying this item and still decided to give it a try most islands I looked at had similar reviews. The box came without the wooden dowels and the door hinges. We put it together anyway without the doors on.This happened to be on a weekend so we checked the small and big name hardware stores along with for hinges, unfortunately neither had anything useable. After contacting their customer service I was told they didnt have these parts and it would take 30 days to get them. So now I wait hopefully they will ship them other wise I have an island with no doors. Im not very happy
Im very happy with the entertainment center which was shipped quickly and very affordable. It took me about an hour to put it together by myself. Only needed a Phillips screwdriver to do the job. Package did come torn in places but all the foam lining in the box protected all the pieces. Extra hardware was included too. Just dont over tighten anything. Very sturdy and looks good
I like the looks of the island. It took us a while to put it together, but came out nice. Good storage areas. Only complaint is that the back of the cabinet is very thin and mine is warped. Since you dont really notice it, Im ok with it.

A little confused

Its worth the money.
Assembly took about two and a half hours. Feels sturdy and is easily moved in and out of the pantry when needed.
The back is too thin.
