Very happy with this. Before I was just sleeping on a mattress on the ground pregnant lady(me) trying to bend down to get to the bed and having to struggle to get myself off my bed wasnt cutting it anymore. I decided to go try this one out because it was the cheapest one I could find. I dont struggle to get on or off anymore and while the drawers are empty right now (I cant bend down to get to them) Im sure once I poop this baby out they will be handy!
We really are enjoying the bed. It looks wonderful and went together well. My husband is an engineer so he did some extra reinforcement to make the drawers nice and sturdy by using glue and some extra brackets. It was a reasonable price. We got 2 bedside drawers to match as well as a chest of drawers. We are not in the least disappointed. We used a mattress only. No box spring required. It arrived quickly with no damage as well!
Once together this feels really solid (all together is quite heavy). Fit my queen bed perfectly and the drawers went on straight. It is around hip height to the average person I would say, and the bed will bring you just above that.

So far so good, Im not seeing any manufacturer defects I was missing the corner braces, and I plan to add a center brace just for piece of mind. I took my time putting it together and it took about 7 hrs with a few breaks in there. Like I said though I took my time and did add wood glue when I did half the drawers, and the mounts on the frame. We will see if it half to glue the other half but I dont think I will. I will update in a couple weeks and let everyone know how its holding up.
To those of you who dont think its worth it, I would say that first you have to want to put it together. Second (really first) you need to be patient. I am a 62-year-old woman and I just finished assembling this bed - by myself - in four hours. Yes, I admit I cheated: I read the instructions. Im amazed at how solid it is and cant wait to fill the drawers with things Ive been waiting to fill drawers with. I say save the professional assembler fee and buy the headboard, too. It looks great, and I know I will sleep well tonight!
This Queen platform storage it what I was looking for for quite a while. Finally got it! and it is well constructed. Just love the storage under it. Very nice.

Does the manhattan bed match the coal harbour or series 9 furniture like dressers? Or are they all different expresso colors
