Not worth how much we paired for it the metal draw bars were slightly bent when we got it and after about 2 weeks my husband had to screw 3 of the board in place because they kept falling out. Now after having it and sleeping on it for almost a year is starting fall apart even more.
The quality of materials is a lot better than a 14year old frame I had beforehand, but there are a couple issues:
I absolutely hate the planks of under. They move out of place, and they are all just short enough that they barely fit into the metal guides and will pop out, if I can get a single piece of wood instead of individual planks I would be able to sleep better. Now this could also just happen to be a manufacturing error, Id rather it be too long by a little bit, Im sure we got some peeps willing to do some wood cutting.
The second sort of has to do with the first note, the end of my bed bows out a little bit, causing the planks not to fit properly, and with that extra play I believe caused screws to strip the wood so now the frame isnt secured. Almost better to just put your mattress on the floor. Or make a bed frame out of the frame of a car.. The drawers are roomy and great use of space with the 6 of them.
We are so happy with this purchase! Comfortable as a box spring, great use for under the bed space, not super obvious that its a storage bed. Very much love it!
Love the bed frame and the looks of it. Its in Great and holds up every well. A little had to assemble as the directions werent exactly clear but nothing my lovely boyfriend couldnt figure out. Lol. We love it and love having the extra storage space !!
Im giving it 4 stars because the putting it together process is brutal. I dont recommend getting this at all if you dont have help and/or you suck at putting these types of things together. My husband is great at doing projects like this so I bought it even with all the conflicting reviews. It took him and my father about 6 hours to finish and they hated every minute of it.
However, it looks great! It feels really good and sturdy. My husband was a bit wary of how well it would hold up while he was putting it together but once he finished it, he did compliment it.
The drawers are great. Very large and spacious. They slide in and out easily.
As long as you have patience and help, I completely recommend this bed. Once you survive the process, youll love it.
Reminder: this does not come with the headboard! We did buy the one in the photo though, separately. I love it as well! It was also way easier to put together. They finished that quickly.
I love my new bed. I just never thought it was so large!..lol The drawers are real drawers!. I somehow thought they would be smaller!..NOT complaining!. I do not need a dresser in my bedroom. the twelve drawers are more than enough for my clothes. I love it. I have a gel-topped mattress that is 14 high. Some might say the bed and mattress is too tall..but I love climbing onto my bed..Im 510 so no problem for me!. Im in heaven!
this looks great - however I had to go and get a part for one drawer because it was not in the box It was a standard runner for the drawer so it was at the local building store - but it is the reason I am taking off one star
