First off, I am not using this as an entry way bench . Its not sturdy enough for all the action that comes with the job requirement. However, using it as a furniture piece in my bedroom has worked wonders. I agree that its a little over priced BUT foe the space that I have it in (see pics) it works very well and literally just about the same color as my bedroom furniture. The directions were easy to follow but for putting on the lid I do recommend getting help holding it in place. I use it more for decoration and storage than extra seating so if youre looking for something that will look gooddd in a space to add to your decor and storage, it will do well. Thought it would be higher that it is but was happy that it wasnt as it fits perfectly in the space I need it.
Its beautiful, sturdy and what I wanted for this space. The only downfall is the hinge for inside. It doesnt really work, so we left it off but all in all, a really gooddd purchase.

Solid bench i like it!!!!
Once put together bench was niceee. The pre-made holes didnt align and the bottom wood was cracked. The bottom part for the storage was also too long.
