Easy to assemble and looks great in the house. We use this for our guest room which is a Texas/country theme (Ive been using that theme since long before JoAnn and Chip started shoving it down everyones throats). I highly appreciate that theres a strip that goes down the middle of the bed prior to putting the rods across it to support the mattress / it prevents sounds from metal on metal when people move around. You may need 2 people when assembling as there are times its a bit harder to line up holes when long pieces of metal are trying to bobble around, but totally doable alone (I did it alone). We have a heavy gel foam mattress on it that holds up fine, even when my husband and dogs sleep on it (he doesnt sleep there when hes in trouble, he naps there).
I did look and compare many similar bed frames on . I ended up buying this one in black. The actual parts and pieces arrived in great shape. Im pretty good at assembling furniture but this took quite a bit of time to put together but the end result is beautiful and it does sit a little higher then some other platform beds I have purchased. Just deducted some stars for ease of assembly and sturdiness but its a metal frame and so a little squeak here or there is to be expected.
Bed assembled by 2 men easily in couple of hours. All parts were enclosed. No damages. Bed seems not very sturdy for regular, daily use by 2 people. I use it for a guest bed guests have liked it / but only been 1 guest sleeping on it. Shifts slides. Would recommend better way to hold hybrid mattress in place and better gripper to prevent frame from sliding around. But this is a beautiful bed comfortable per my 20 yr old grand/daughter!
