Bed was relatively easy to assemble. Only complaint is the guards to hold to mattress in place doesnt really work. Instead they are more of a hard and have scratched my toddler on a couple occasions. My recommendation is to not even put the guards on. It doesnt affect the structure of the bed frame at all. I just screwed them off with an Allen wrench and solved that problem and put a toddler bed rail on instead.
The bed took about an hour for my husband to assemble alone and wasnt difficult. Seems decently sturdy and I love the style of the frame but was very disappointed when I saw the finish product and realized it was not white like the picture. It looks more gray. I wasnt going to return it at this point and I can live with it but I wish it were white.
I am really disappointed with the color. The listing says white and the pictures look like a nice bright white. But it is grey! It has a lot of texture unlike the photos that look like smooth metal. The other thing I dont understand is why all the hardware is black. You can see it on the ends of the bed and it sticks out like sore thumb. The bed seems very sturdy and good quality. I wish the headboard was a little taller and the colors were different. Otherwise, a good buy.
