The basic design of this support platform is okay. I like the curved edges, and I like that it is relatively low to the ground. It was easy to assemble and move to my bedroom.
The biggest problem with just putting a mattress on it is, the slats are way too far apart (see photo — almost 8 inches apart on the Queen model). This was touted as a platform bed support that would not void my mattress warranty, but it is *not*. Ive ended up having to purchase a bed board in order to support my mattress correctly (Zinus Annemarie Solid Wood Bed Support Slats / Fabric-Covered / Bunkie Board, Queen). I will not use the provided sticky strips on the metal support slats until that board arrives, because I still want to be able to rotate my mattress. So the sticky strips are useless unless you use a bed board or dont mind never rotating your mattress.
This frame really does not offer under bed storage at all, either — unless you have boxes that are really short and you dont want to access them anytime soon. Cats can still get under the bed, but the Roomba cannot because of how the bars go all the way around. That is a recipe for lots of dust bunnies accumulating under there.
In total, its not saying much that this is the best support frame I found in my extensive search for something under $200. I really wanted an honest-to-gosh platform bed that fit my budget, but real platform beds are either ridiculously expensive or rare as hens teeth. As it is, between this frame and the slat support I am having to add, I am over-budget and still not happy. Oh well. Its marginally better than just having the expensive mattress on the floor.
This is really nice. I only wish it were a little higher as I like my bed up high. It was packaged really well and was super easy to put together. It is very sturdy and goes well with my upholstered headboard.
This is the easiest bed frame we have had to put together, it has been very sturdy for us and looks great in our room. Very few parts to assemble making the bed more sturdy and less time consuming was definitely a plus!
1 month in with this frame and in happy. No issues to report. Mattress can slide a tad bit but I didnt use the adhesive tape which would fix the issue. Lots of room underneath bed to store things and very easy to access. Great buy.
I absolutely love this bed frame. When extra curricular activities are in progress with this bed frame it is very sturdy and does not squeak. I purchased a queen size to put inside of another bed frame with headboard and footboard, and it fit super snug and perfect. Super easy to assemble, and very sturdy.
