We bought this bed for my 70lb 10 yr old son so he could sleep with our 30 lb wheaten terrier, and have the top bunk as a ‘retreat’. It seems sturdy when on the bottom bunk when you are on the top and no one is on the bottom, it is a bit wobbly. The bottom bunk squeaked at night. We had to put pads where all the bars crossed, and a thin board to keep the bars from making noise . Instruction are not good. I suggest 2 people. After we put together the top and bottom , we put the pieces on their sides and put all the legs/posts on while bed was on its ‘back’.
Set up wasn’t bad, for the price you can’t beat it. It’s very sturdy and quiet getting in and out of bed. It sleeps well and is great for the kids. I highly recommend this bed.
It says it holds 400 top, 400 on bottom and 400 trundle - 1200 pounds? Yet bed doesnt seem sturdy. My 15 year old is 180 and sleeps on the top my other two total at 200 on the bottom. The bed came missimg parts the seller was responsive and shipped them asap. The directions and parts would be helpful if they were better labled.
Just putting it together but I specifically purchased this one on the basis that the description says up to 400 lbs per bunk. Instructions say 220 lbs per bunk. There were plenty of choices, so felt misled by the description on .

Great bed for the money

For the price, it’s sturdy, not too tall, easy to assemble with two people. It took maybe 30-40 min to assemble. Definitely happy with my purchase!
