I have a 5 and a 3 year old on this bed. they love it theyre first bunk bed. and for the price its hard to beat. not as sturdy as a $700-$10:00 model but it seems very safe, and i dont expect to be able to give it to my grandchildren. a couple of the pieces of hardware were stripped but they sent new ones very quickly. I took about 3 hrs to put together but I was doing it alone, I made one error, and there was one error in the instructions so I had to redo those parts of my work. Im sure I could have cut it down to 1.5-2hrs had I had an assistant and not made a mistakes. I dont know if the error was in the manual or the labeling of the parts, but make sure to look at the pictures and match it up with the holes on the wood esspecially when puitting the upper bunk partial rail up. all in all a good buy
I was very impressed with the quality of the bed and the very reasonable price! It did take my mom and I a few hours to put it together, but the instructions were pretty easy to follow and we didnt have any issues with parts or mfg errors.
One thing that I dont like is that there is very little clearance for the bottom bunk. I made the mistake of getting 9 mattresses instead of 6 that I have seen recommended. My younger daughter has very little room underneath. It makes tucking her in more of a challenge.
Other than that, I think its a great bed!
This bunk bed is working out great for my boys; they love it! I am satisfied with my purchase now, however when the boxes arrived I was sure there would be a ton of damage as the boxes were totally bashed up and dented. The bed pieces mostly arrived intact with just a couple of scratches in places that were going to be covered by other pieces anyway. The styrofoam took the brunt of the damage... I spent the next few days trying to clean up the mess created from pulverized styrofoam floating all over the room.
As I said, great bed overall. I just wish they would have taken a bit better care of the boxes.
We got this bed for our kids almost-5 and almost-3 to save some space. Theyve been sharing a room for quite some time, but her crib his bed took up almost the whole room. The price was great and delivery was fast. It was in good condition upon delivery. The directions included were for some other bed and a different brand entirely, though, which made assembly a bit tricky. But my husband was able to put it together over a few hours one night, and a couple hours the next morning. We all camped out in the living room that night. Since then the kids are loving it. It is smaller than your average bunk, but that makes our almost-5 year old that much more comfortable sleeping on the top. The child on the bottom has plenty of clearance too... just a bit tricky for us adults to get in to make the bed, to tuck her in, give a kiss, etc. Not too big of a deal for us though, because on the flip side it makes the top bunk easier to access for bed making and tucking in. Also, the second ladder rung has since split and needed some reinforcement, but again, an easy fix and now its sturdier than ever. Overall its been a great purchase and I feel safe with my kids in the bed.
I purchased this bed for my toddler and am already having to look at replacing it. Once we had the bed put together, I was quite pleased with its size and overall look in the room. We placed the bed against the corner walls and we were able to easily put a safety railing under the mattress so that my 2 year old was able to have a big boys bed. We had a friends daughter staying with us for a few weeks and she was sleeping on the top bunk. After about 2 weeks, I heard a big crash as she was going to bed and when I ran into the room, the rung of the ladder had split into two while she was climbing up it. She is a petite 12 yr. old girl. Upon inspection, we noticed that all of the ladder rungs were splintering on the sides where the rungs attach to the main poles of the ladder. My husband had to replace, or support the rungs, with wood pieces we had in the garage just so that she could keep using the bed.
Other than that, the other reviews give a pretty accurate description of the bed. The bottom planks of wood are exposed but we took a cheap plastic shower curtain and laid that down underneath the boards so that our son does not get splinters too. The ladder is wobbly is not screwed into place so be careful about that. The size works well for small children and it looks nice in the room but we were disappointed in its quality and durability - which is alarming considering that this bed is made for children in the first place.
The quality of this bunk bed surpassed my expectations. Soild, sturdy, strong wood, carefully ed and put together. It was easy to follow the instructions and its just a very beautiful set for my girls! All for under 200.00 too! I am very pleased with my purchase!
Easy to assemble, affordable and seems durable. We received two boxes one torn and open, but no inside damage. We love the extra brackets that hold the top bed and provide added support. All parts came labeled and it only took a couple of hours to assemble. My husband and 5 year old followed the instructions completely and each segment had the pictures of the items needed to complete that section. We noticed the unfinished slats, but we had some strechy fabric we are going to use to cover the top ones from underneath and secure it tightly to prevent from sagging. We were missing 5 screws needed to secure the three slats to the rails my husband took 5 screws from the slats and used those. Overall, we like the ease of assembly, finish and look of product. Its a great buy for $208 with free super shipping. Walmart is about 20 minutes from my house and their bunk bed costs $179 tax if I factored in the time and gas spent, I would have spent a lot more, and I have a small car. Hassle-free shopping from the comfort of my couch....cant beat that!

Looks Nice but Broke within Weeks.

Great bunk bed.
The bunk bed is beautiful and great choice for our grandchildren. I highly recommend this for a quality, reasonably priced purchase.

Firewood
Holes dont line up. Bolts/nuts stripped out and will not hold together. Was not even able to make it to the second page of assembly.
Great buy for the money, love it!
