havent slept on it yet as this is for the guest room and am awaiting for the mattress. However, it seems that I will need to place a .25 inch of plywood on top as I do not have a box spring and it will be only a 12 thick memory foam mattress - the rods across the frame are round and it seems it would indent the mattress.
I just want to give a tip to those who have posted a review on the difficulty of aligning screws and holes. Follow the first instruction -DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS UNTIL THE END. Thats it. It was assembled in less than 30 minutes by one person and everything aligned.
I will be posting some more as it is used.

This is the first time that I buy things on . The frame is wonderful! Its stable and beautiful, easy assembled. I used two hours to build it up all by myself. Highly recommend
Very good bed...the price surprised me. When UPS arrived I said thats the only box? but everything was there! I purchased this to replace a bunk bed in our camp at the river. I was tired of it looking like a prison with bunk beds everywhere.
It took me 1 1/2 hours to put together by myself. If there were 2 people it wouldnt take long at all because you can both work on screwing and popping pieces in at the same time. It took a while because I put 3 pieces on backward and had to remove them and put them back together and I knocked a glass of wine over throwing wine all over the wall and breaking the glass which involved clean up. The plastic pieces and slats took the longest. There are plastic pieces that lock the slats the pieces that support the middle. Those pieces hurt my fingers after a while...but again 2 people would have made it faster.
It seems solid. I put a piece of wood on the bed and trundle over the slats...but only because I had the wood already from the bunk beds we got rid of and we didnt have anywhere to put it.
I would recommend this bed.
Received bed frame for the second time. First was missing parts and we could not put it together. Second one missing decorative parts and was scratched up and peeling. Absolutely horrible. Not happy at all but Im not returning Again. Pain in the rear.....

Noisy, metal frame and screws make loud noise
Noisy, screws need to tight every month.
