Bought this for when our preschool age grandson/s spend the night. I dont know how well it would hold up for a heavy adult but for our purposes it seems plenty sturdy. It wasnt difficult for me to put together, the little plastic pieces that keep the bars in place were tedious for old hands but none of it was difficult. The headboard does NOT look like wood. It looks like plastic / resin ( albeit very sturdy ) with a wood grain printed on it. This didnt bother me as I was painting it to look like an antique nautical sign to match wallpaper. If you are hoping for a more realistic wood look this isnt the bed for you, but otherwise, for the price, its pretty nice.
So I bought this bed frame for my 9 year old son so we can finally get him off of sleeping on the floor since he liked jumping on bed frames when he was younger. I got the twin size and I also bought a new twin mattress for the bed frame, it holds it very well and my son loves it, my husband had an easy time building it and the head board is very nice looking. Highly recommend.
this bed was easy to put together, its great quality and looks amazing. my son finally wanted to sleep in his room like a big boy, we never could get him to before this!
Headboard is not the size I thought it would be. The description says its noise free. Which it was, for one day and now it squeaks. Will do for now but definitely not a permanent solution.

Great for a kids bed
