Well built for the times we live in. Went together easily. Looks good. The color is not a bright shiny pine finish but a darker tan with a dull finish. It actually worked in my application better than bright pine. The supports on the side are right in the way of a persons foot a lot of the time. If you dont know to avoid it you WILL stub your toes. Even if you do know its thereYou will stub your toes. 3 stars might be a little critical but my toes still hurt. Works very well for intended application.

Update! Below is my initial review. Ive had the bed for a year and a half now. Although the price was great, it is not a sturdy bed. We have to tighten the screws of the bed every other week and each time we do, the screws are concerningly loose. Its annoying to have to do this so often and we worry about the safety of the bed. We are not large people and if we move even a little bit the bed shakes horribly. Buyers beware.
The bed arrived right on time and the box was in good condition. The box is heavy so it is definitely a two person job getting it inside. Upon opening the box, I was surprised to see the materials were inside another box. I liked that everything was doubled boxed because it provided extra protection. There were no scratches or blemishes to be seen and the frame was made of sturdy wood. The rod going down the middle is made of and also sturdy. Ive read on here that people have felt the slats were thin and flimsy but I didnt feel that they were thin at all. The are Velcroed on so they are definitely not going to slip. I put the bed together completely on my own in about a half hour. It was much easier than any furniture Ive put together and it feels much sturdier. I will update again once the bed is used but so far, so good!
