This umbrella was very easy to assemble, although I had a bit of hard time with one of the screws, but I eventually figured it out. My only concern is that while it is very sturdy, I need a heavy base to counter the weight of the umbrella itself. For some reason when I bought this I thought it came with the base, but I will buy it. For now I got a few pavers and put them around the bottom of the body to give it some stability. I owned another cantilever umbrella that cost me half of what this one cost and last summer in one of the storms we had the screw at the top snapped and had to hammer it in every time I used it, and many times during the day if it i was a breezy day. I hope this one will last me. The quality of the umbrella fabric is also a lot nicer and better than the previous one I had. Highly recommend this umbrella.
This umbrella is awesome. We purchased it for our deck so that we could sit on our outdoor couch during midday when the sun normally is too hot to be out there. The umbrella looks great, is very easy to adjust and provides tons of shade. I would consider getting another one for our patio as well. Great purchase.
We just received this today and discovered that the base pictured in ALL the photos is not included. Upon review of the item description, this was stated up front. Still very frustrating to now have to order the base separately.
Update: Seller contacted me and offered us a full refund. Did not require me to return the umbrella eitherso updating my stars from 2 to 5.
We purchased this umbrella after looking at many. This was a bit more expensive, but had better reviews. Overall, we are very pleased with it. The umbrella arrived in a box that was beat up and open on one end. There was some minimal damage but not worth returning the umbrella; did not affect function and you would have to look hard to find the small dings. All parts were present and install was easy.
You might note we have an unconventional base mount. I used 5 x 3/8 lag bolts and washers to level the base and secure it to the trunk of our beloved shade tree which sadly passed away last year. Until we can grow a new tree nearby, we needed some instant shade as we head into the hot desert summer months where we live. I mounted the umbrella to the tree as an experiment and temporary solution. I will likely dig a posthole slightly to the side of the current mount and pour it full of concrete, then set four mounting bolts in it.as shown in the photo I found in another review. As this umbrella is currently mounted, it is too high. Its a very tall umbrella; I left the stump high for the first try but will either cut it down about a foot and remount it, or do the concrete base. The cross braces included with the kit are very sturdy, but would take up a lot of room compared to a solid base which is what we will stick with.
In any event, the umbrella is of good quality and should last us for awhile. It does move around on a breezy day but thats to be expected. All told, we are happy with this purchase, and the seller will send us a cover for the umbrella soon they say. They were good to communicate with. Recommended! :/)
Put this together in 10/15 minutes. Incredibly easy to assemble. You will need a heavy base. Make sure the base you purchase aligns with the umbrellas footing. Umbrella itself is very high quality / more of a nylon material vs. cloth so it should last longer. I would absolutely recommend the umbrella.
We moved into our new home late last year. We are finally getting our patio setup. We wanted to measure the size of umbrella needed along with how the sun shines on our patio. The patio faces the east and gets most direct sun from morning until about 6:00PM. We were concerned that the sun would prevent us from enjoying the patio most of the day.
We ordered our umbrella. My wife says it is the best money spent. The umbrella provides great coverage and shade. It is easy to adjust by my 72/year/old wife. We now can enjoy our patio all day. We can sit in the morning and enjoy coffee. One other side benefit is that the umbrella provides a feeling of more privacy rather than an open patio. Great product.

This umbrella is great. However, RainBoo didnt seem to check what was being sent. I didnt receive the hardware nor the two cranks.
