This island is so beautiful. The quality really is aming and the amount of storage is GREAT! It was heavy to bring inside and not an easy assembly at all. We hired a handyman to assemble and it took him about an hour. So worth it. This island is going to be in our family for a while. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We received this island on July 29 and two parts were missing. I contacted the manufacturer and we received the missing parts on July 30. That is outstanding customer service. It is a beautiful island and very sturdy; It is solid wood. I highly recommend this manufacturer and this product.

PROS:
When we remodeled our small kitchen in December 2018 I really wanted a butcher countertop island, but the quote we got was in thousands.
1) We were glad to find the right size and color here in for under a thousand.
2) My husband said it took him less than an hour to put it together.
3) There are six holes to choose and adjust the shelves. Storage space in the cabinet shelves are good for a couple of salad bowls, 9x12 Pyrex dishes, a dozen regular size mugs, stemless wine glasses, and my collection of assorted seldom used kitchen tools like the egg beater, potato masher, and salad serving set.
4) The exterior shelves // also with 6 holes to choose height // are good for displaying my decorative bowls and tea sets.
5) The two drawers // also about 20 deep // can hold cutlery, office supplies, first aid kit, etc.
6) Its easy to clean. I simply use a damp washcloth to remove dust and dirt. An all/purpose/cleaner took care of the eraser smudge where I tried to clean a pencil scratch.
7) Its easy to use: the cabinet doors have magnets but are easy to open, the drawers slides in and out smoothly.
CONS: Flaws are minor considering the price.
1) There are gaps and imperfections in the joints, but really only if you take a close look.
2) The distressed effect looks phony, especially the uniform nail pattern.
3) The leaf is not strongly supported so its best not to lean on it. For this reason we dont put anything heavy on that side of the island.
4) This is personal: were mildly disappointed that its not as white as our kitchen cabinets and refrigerator, but more like egg shell or very light cream hue (see color).
Overall we are pleased with it and love getting compliments from guests. I hope Homestyle will make a buffet table of the same color to match.
We are remodeling and decided to move dining table to separate room and add some counter space to kitchen. This island is very sturdy, easy instructions and definitely need two people to construct. The so called little holes in the top of the surface others complained about, they are super tiny and I only noticed it because I was looking for them. Even with those super tiny 6 little barely able to see dots its perfect and was a great price when I purchased it.

We purchased this to add to our kitchen, because I wanted an island with somewhat of a seating area for quick meals, breakfast etc.
The colors: the black is beautiful, love how it fits right in with my kitchen since I have black appliances. The oak color, perfect match to my cabinets, no worm holes at all, smooth, scratch free, super clean, shiny and clean! No complaints there! The hardware (4 knobs for the doors etc.) perfect brushed nickel look.
Assembly: It definitely took 3 of us to put it together in the beginning, about 2 hours. The first piece to be put together as instructed, was a little confusing because the cam lock (1 of 4) would not stay in place. We tried moving the pieces around, using a different cam lock and idk why but just that 1 would tighten up and then get loose on its own. It wasnt until we mounted it on to the base that we were able to tighten it and keep it secure (not mentioned in instructions) It wasnt something that we worried much about once we completed more of the set up because everything else held it in place securely without fear of it getting lose and having an issue later on. The doors were super easy, magnets work fine, the knobs were easy to install.
All together, its beautiful. Just what we needed. Easy to move around also just in case you need to mop/sweep etc. I purchased the two recommended chairs and those were a breeze; cute and perfect match. Worth the price. Ill update later if we run into any issues. But we love it!

Love it! Looks nice and is very functional. Having the extra leaf to put up or take down is also a plus. Feels sturdy.
Very sturdy piece and great storage
What a great addition to our kitchen. Very useful and matches our cupboards. However we did pay someone to put it together.
