Easy to assemble. As some people indicated there was damaged to the wooden part due to shipping. I was worried mine could have been a victim since one corner had visible damage. But when I opened to inspect, there were no damage to the wooden part or any other section. Assembly was easy, used Loctite 242(blue) on the fasteners to prevent from loosening. My experience from the bed frame that this was replacing, fasteners were all loose when I disassembled it. It will probably take you 10 minutes if there were 2 people, it took me a little over 20 minutes. So there is about a 3/16 gap on the center support post to the floor, probably to allow some deflection and variation to peoples different floor. I added a small floor protector with a 1/8 foam just to eliminate that play.
So far it handle the heavy foam mattress and my wife and I (about 330 combine), I believe the weight limit is 500 but that is usually lower than the actual weight limit.
The price on this also went up 75 or so within a couple of days so I was glad to snag it at 158.
Footboard arrived with wood cracked. mailed out replacement footboard and it was also cracked. Packaging is not good. Next, wants to mail out another whole bed, have me pick out the part I need and mail the rest back to them. The package weighs 85lbs and is not easy to get up to 2nd floor. Decided to just keep cracked wood footboard. More trouble than it is worth.

I double checked all the screws and they are all tightened to the max. The wooden part of the bed at the foot came cracked and I called to have it replaced so they said they would review it and send me a replacement. I will follow up on a repost once I get the replacement. I was impressed with the fact that they send you a small ratchet tool which makes turning the allen wrench screws so easy. If it didnt squeak, I would have rated this a 5 star item. I mentioned it to the person on the phone and she said Id have to send it back and being that the box was damaged, it just felt like to much effort to find a replacement box.

Have had this bed frame for a year and still love its sturdiness! Its perfect height too!
