very sturdy, even with the given nature of this thing. does not squeak at all. looks exactly like the picture, at least technically as it does look tiny bit lower in person. Also the plastic pad on the bottom makes it easier, but not to the point you are worried about it sliding all over the room.

I was worrying my mattress would slide off / took me a week to convince myself to give a try to a frame thats flat and doesnt have anything to hold my mattress in place and to my surprise it didnt move a single inch in 3 weeks Ive had it. My previous frame has rod to hold mattress and it would always slide down and it was annoying. Frame is solid / no squawks no nothing! I didnt need headboard so this was perfect / I put velvet wall panels all over my bedroom wall so this is perfect. HEIGHT / get this 14 one, 6/8 is way too low / I bought same frame with that height first and I felt like a twit sleeping every night, this height is very very comfy and I can even see stuff out of my window when I wake up because I am now higher
This thing is very high quality! It was almost too easy to put together / I had it completely assembled by myself in under 10 minutes. The instructions were clear and the parts well machined. The ratchet driver was a nice and unexpected addition / made assembly absolutely painless. I still cant believe how solid this thing is for the money! Make sure your mattress will fit / some bed in a box kings may be just too wide for this frame, but not a dealbreaker if its off by a quarter inch. Needed a low platform bed to help our pup with a bad knee, and the 6 inch platform was perfect.

Its looks like it could have come from West Elm, or somewhere similar. I moved recently and didnt even disassemble it and it faired just fine. I liked it enough to buy a similar frame from my first bed too.
