Its pretty much a cheap chair, if you need a cheap chair go for it I dont expect it last long. Nothing against the manufacture or. This product fills a price point and a need its pure pay for what you get.
While this chair seemed like a good buy, it was very difficult to assemble, and even then has structural difficulties. The problem is the length of the bolts that attach the arms to the seat and then the back (the arms hold the back). The base is easy to assemble and seems fine. Once I got to the arms/seat interface, however, assembly slowed to a crawl. I spent over an hour an a half trying to get the bolts through the arm and into the seat bottom. If they had been about 3/4 inch longer, there would have been no problem, but the short bolts need to be inserted into holes in the arms such that the head of the bolt is inaccessible to fingers that could manipulate it into the receiving threads in the seat. I finally went to the hardware store and bought longer bolts for the seat back, and it went together fairly quickly. However, the short bolts were already in the seat bottom. When I sat in the chair and leaned back, the bolts on the seat bottom on one arm just popped out. Getting them back in place was another struggle, and for some reason the seat bottom would not take the longer bolts I bought and used in the back. Frustrating!
The product was very easy to assemble. Took me only about 10/15 mins to complete the assembly. I find it very comfortable as well/ I have been sitting on it for 10+ hrs a day since I purchased this as part of my home office set up.
No low back support so youll wanna have a pillow ready to make sure you can sit up straight if youre working for long periods of time. Beyond that, very solid chair. Good value for the price.
I was looking for a budget office chair I could get under 100 that also gives me the back support I need. Ive been working from home since the shelter in place began and I needed an office chair that I could spend about 8/10 hours a day in. And this works! Its easy to assemble, I did it alone within 20 minutes. Im 5 4 165 pounds and the chair is big enough that I can sit cross legged. All in all a great budget option. Just have to see if it will last!
Had my son who is 13 put this together. Super easy took him about 30 minutes. So far its holding up well and he loves it for online school. Well worth the price
This was the first Basic product I have purchased. It arrived well and in good condition. Putting the chair together was a breeze. Having an impact driver with a T30 bit was super helpful. Although it did round out my bit so I probably had the torque too high.
I picked this item over cheaper chairs because it was the only one that would be shipped before virtual school starts. For the kids it should do quite well.
All of the hardware was packed inside the back rest which I thought was both ingenious and disappointing. This means that there is zero back support and when i sat in it i could feel the frame was just covered by the material with no real support. Again, probably ok for the kids but not something i would likely find comfortable for an 8 hour work day. I suppose one could stuff the chair more with a pillow or filler off some sort.
Overall i am happy with the purchase but a bit surprised by the lack of back support.
