Full assembly required, but great directions. You will need your own phillips screwdriver (a Phillips head bit for a drill helps tremendously). I completed it by myself in 3 hours, but would recommend 2 people for greater ease. This product is certainty worth the cost.

Took about three and a half hours to put together. I could not be more pleased with this product. Its extremely sturdy, which was especially important for my son who is wheelchair bound. The bottom bunk gives him plenty of space and hes able to slide from his chair to the bed very easily. Our six year old loves the top bunk and the sturdy ladder. Its been so great for our boys that well be purchasing a new one for my daughter at Christmas. Exceptional quality for the price, definitely recommend!

Good quality at a fair price
I am quite pleased with this bunk bed set. It does require significant assembly, but I expected that. Looks good and is pretty sturdy.
