Nice and cheap but you get what you paid for

It arrived last week but I paid for assembling so it was assembled today. The person who assembled it said that all parts were nice and in good condition. What I can tell without having used it yet is that the boards arent sanded and the interior arent finished so its all rough surface inside.

the slats are not the best quality (they are very thin

Before buying, I read thoroughly through the other reviews to see what trouble most were having. Yes, the slats are not the best quality (they are very thin, cheap boards), but for the time being until I buy my own, they are good enough to work. I put this bed together by myself and it only took about two hours. Assembly wasnt difficult as some said. but maybe its just because Im the handy woman around the house. Packaging was not an issue with us. Some reported broken wood pieces, mine were perfectly packaged and delivered. However, the packages are indeed heavy, and I managed to carry them up 2 flights of stairs all by myself. (My back does hurt now, but I luckily didnt pull anything with the fact that I took small stops to get my air back. Im also a 25/year/old, so age could be a factor.) As long as we treat this bedframe with care, I dont foresee any issues.

Not bad at all for the price though

After 3 years and 4 moves I am finally calling it quits with this bed. Not bad at all for the price though. If you want a good bed spend more than 500 bucks on it.

The slats fit fine, the are smooth and spacious

Was surprised at how big and heavy it is! Arrived in 3 boxes, lots of parts, but had everything we needed, didnt need to buy anything additional. The slats fit fine, the are smooth and spacious, the height is perfect. It took my two helper men 2 hrs to put together. They used electric drill. Solid for sleeping and frisky time.

    Very happy!

This bed looks fabulous! You cant beat the price. It took my husband and I about 3 hours to put it together; it wasnt hard if you can read directions. Very happy!

    Quality is good. Pleased

Quality is good. Pleased. However expected to receive the bookcase headboard as well since it was shown in the picture. Misleading. Should change picture and make it very clear what you are purchasing and that bookcase is optional.

    It has potential! Looks nice!

Let me start off by saying this IS NOT a complete bed. Like others have stated its a rickity piece of partical board. However with a few minor adjustments you can have yourself a VERY sturdy bed for 1/4th of the cost. Let me make myself clear. If youre loo for a very sturdy bead and you dont want to put in the extra time and money to actually make this sturdy, you want it sturdy out of the box, than this bed is NOT the bed for you. Look elsewhere! If you want an inexpensive bed that you can use as a base and then alter it as you see fit, then go for it. This thing would work for you. I read Osndoks review about buidling a box and attaching the slats to the cross beams and followed those instructions, I also added well a sealer tape, the type you put in between doors and such that adheres to the surface to keep things from rattling or to keep the draft out, but as a padding because we couldnt find felt that others were recommending. (On a side note pay attention to the package when you purchase it to not misread feet to inches unless you want 6 packages of 30 FEET of the stuff. yes we did that.) and 8 elbow brackets. You can use more elbow brackets, just make sure your screws are short because they will go through the partical board and ruin the finish on the other side. I only put them on the inside box. Look at Osndoks review about the size of the 2x12s that you need to drill into the middle slats. The only alteration I put besides the elbow brackets is I actually slipped the foam under the brackets for the slats in between the slat and the bracket because the slats do rattle a bit even after theyre attached by screws. So stick the foam in between them ma it almost whisper quiet getting into bed. After the few alterations Im happy to say I love this bed. I love the , which are a little shallow but it adds extra storage. You wont be able to fit a full size comforter in these things but they will make for great his and her undergarments and such. Let me say that my husband helped me put this together. It took us 3 hours and 15 minutes to put the main bed together with the alterations that we made. We only put three together. We started at 7:45 pm and ended at 11:00 pm. I anticipate the ta another 30 minutes to put together. We also have the bookshelf headboard to put together, however I can do that myself. All in all I really enjoy this bed, after the alterations to it, it will be sturdy. It didnt even creek when myself and my husband flopped down in it once we got done putting the mattress on. Were not small people either. TL:DR (Too long, didnt read) add 2 2x12 boards in between the middle boards and attach elbow brackets to the inside of the boards, add some sort of padding in between the two middle boards, then use self tapping wood screws to attach the slats to the middle boards. If there is rattling on the ends of the boards after all of this, then add the padding in between the slats and the bracket that it rests in.

Quality is nice, but mine did not come with each piece .

Quality is nice, but mine did not come with each piece of wood labeled. I had to figure out which pieces were what in the instructions which wasnt too difficult for me.
