Very nice when finished, materials are what you would expect.

This was the second of four items I had purchased in this line and put together after the headboard. As to this 6 drawer storage bed here it is: 1) POWER TOOLS. Be careful with the materials, use power tools with care.and your day will go faster. 2) Handle the product with care.We didnt scratch anything, but it can easily be dinged. 3) If you have room, place everything out where it will eventually go, that way you can visualize how it should fit together. 4) This should go without saying.but follow the directions. (Per my husband: they are just the manufactured suggested way to put it together, but they really do help.) My husband, daughter and I worked on various tasks and managed to get this put together in no time. If you are not happy with the sturdiness of the slats, you can always add a plywood topper of some type. We are waiting on a new mattress so I will update on the need for the plywood for stability. I know a lot of people are going to complain about the quality, but I got exactly what I expected. You are only paying hundreds for something that should last with proper care! Believe me when I say a similar product could run you a lot more.expect what you pay for and you wont be disappointed.

A little extra doctoring, and you can have a nice bed

First I have to admit, I bought this bed from another place. They offered ship to store. I could pick it up at my convenience. I will say, the instructions leave a lot to be desired. They do have some good info tho. They tell you which way something should go, and how to tell the difference between top and bottom of certain things. Ive read literally hundreds of reviews on the beds. The good, the bad, and the ugly. There were also many helpful ideas on ma it a better bed. I used some of them. After I built the bed, according to the instructions. Except, I got some of the cheapest 1/2 window foam I could find. I put this in the back of the rail channels, to help keep the slats tight and hopefully quiet. Then I put wood glue all around the inside seams of the . This was to hopefully keep the bottom from sagging. After I made sure the bed was square ( open and close easily and arent sitting at an angle), I put corner brackets around the top, just above the slat rail. I used 1/2 6 wood screws to attach these (that way they wont go all the way through). I did this for sturdiness. Someone suggested to do it around the bottom too, but Im too ly. You have to pull the out and lay all funky. I may do it later, if needed. This bed comes in 3 boxes. People have commented that memory foam mattresses dont like platform beds with gapped slats or wires. So, I took the largest box and opened it up all the way. I placed it on the slats. I then screwed it to the slats. I used the screws that came with the corner brackets for this. Figured screwing it down would make the slats and bed sturdier. Havent put the mattress on it yet. Were not officially moving into the new place for a couple of days. As of right now, I really like it. If something changes, I will come back and let you know.

We are in love with this bed

We are in love with this bed. MUST WARN: assembly may require a contractors license / we had to hire someone as we could not figure it out, even with the instructions. However, it is totally worth it and we have a foam mattress on it successfully. We bought the matching bookcase head board which has similar instructions but again, totally worth it. Both pieces are Beautiful!

    EVERYTHING WE EXPECTED

We now have 2 of these beds in our home. One for our 17 yr old and one for our 12 yr old. Assembled in about an hour and a half. Love the six large ! Wish there was an option for white or white washed.

the bed is holding together pretty well. The slide without catching and hold .

This bed was fairly simple and quick to put together, considering I am an petite sized woman of average strength. I believe it only took me a couple of hours to put together. Now that Ive been using it for a couple of months, the slats do not stay in place and Im probably going to put down a plywood board. Other than that, the bed is holding together pretty well. The slide without catching and hold my clothing perfectly.

Cheap material, not long lasting, doesnt maximize storage space

I never write reviews but this product has prompted me for extremely unsatisfied reasons. For the record this is NOT solid wood construction as has been mentioned in other reviews, (not plywood, which I was expecting, but particleboard) which makes sense I suppose because otherwise it would be rather heavy to ship. Ive had this bed for 8 months now and the have popped out of alignment, it has started to wobble (was solid when first assembled) and the foil finish scratches extremely easily (with a fingernail when attempting to open the ). Also there is far less drawer space than there could be. I can fit a storage tote (awkward to retrieve) in the space under the bed between each of the closed left and right . Im most disappointed because I was hoping a Canadian made product would be better quality than something from . I actually tracked down the warehouse before purchasing the bed to see if they had a showroom with this product but they said they were not open to the public. That should have been the first warning sign. Sigh.
