Purchased these stools for use with island in kitchen and they are absolutely wonderful. In process of remodeling kitchen and purchasing piece a time. So comfortable and easy to raise or lower with the side handle. Was super easy and fast to put together. Design is very rich looking.
These stools are lite and the kids can pull them out easily and my grand kids like them.
One of them took one for her desk even though its higher.. too funny.

2021 review: I believe in giving the devil his due, so Im updating this review, which originally was only 2 stars, and doubling my score. 6 years later, with average use, these chairs are still holding up and look like new. Granted, they dont get heavy use, but they are used especially if we have visitors. I sit on one every day for my 2 meals.
2015 review: For the price couldnt be better. Hold very heavy people fine, although seats and back are rather small except for average to small persons. Used daily for a year still holding up fine. Read my revised review bc one chairs lifting mechanism broke down and we havent been able to fix it so knocked it down to 2 stars.
Great stylish chairs for the price. Easy to put together and very sturdy. No wobble for me. The hydraulic functions perfectly. I move the chairs up and down without a problem. Plenty of compliments on these in my bachelor pad
They look good. Material isnt bad, but when you sit in them they feel cheapish. They feel like the kind of furniture you got for your very first apartment, right after you threw out the milk crates. But they were very cheap, so I guess i got a little more than I paid for
So far, so good. Great packing, very simple to assemble. I was trying to find something for my stand up desk that I could also use with an underdesk DeskCycle - office chairs dont work because of the legs going forward and they are just too short. This works great. I can also just change from standing, or on my desk treadmill to this chair without having to adjust my desk down. Love that! Very inexpensive for 2 chairs, and very comfortable.

Creaky
After not quite two years, both stools squeak a lot due to loose joints. Not a squeak that WD-40 will help. Need to replace them.
