This is a great stool for the money. Easy and quick to assemble. I sped the process up by using a drill, and ended up BREAKING SCREWS. (bolded to catch attention if this is what you need)
If this happens to you, go to Lowes and buy:
Weatherman Stainless Steel 14 x 1-1/2 Pan Phillips sheet metal screws.
That was the closest fit we find and it worked out perfectly. Right depth, gripped really well, and didnt cause any kind of stress on the wood.
NOTE: we used this screw on the foot rest portion.
Just arrived today. Put them together and it took awhile. Some holes were in the wrong spots, and others didnt even go through the wood. Most holes were too big for the wood button cover to cover them. Please, do not buy this product. Save your money! Super disappointed!
Would of been perfect except for the fact that some of the little white plugs are to small for the holes and went right in... be careful for that when putting them in- I hardly even pressed - ruined the whole look.
I purchased three packages and didnt realize that each package contain two chairs ( I should have paid attention to the description). The first box we opened was damaged and obviously returned by someone. There wasnt instructions, no hardware and the couple of wood pieces have been drilled and left broken screw in them. we were so disappointed but decided to open the other two packages, they were perfect! We used the power drill but in very slow speed. The chairs are very sturdy. There is a metal protection on the foot rest and it was covered with a layer of film. If someone doesnt look at it closely, he might think the metal piece are scratched. Overall we are happy with the purchase, but we still havent received refund for the damaged package which was returned on April 22.

2 of the hole covers on each chair are too small
On each chair 2 of the screw hole covers were too small.
