Perfect for a bunk room at the lake house. Gorgeous deep brown color. Well made. Only one issue.Did not like all the white warning stickers all over the end of one of the panels. Cant get them off, and it looks terrible. I took 1 star off for the tacky stickers
Had to wait 2 more weeks to get a replacement part. Figured that the bent part was the main leg so I coulndnt build out the rest of the bed. But once it was in, the bed looks great and my 5yr old LOVES it. I wish I got it a year ago so that she was smaller and could play under the bed longer. Shell probably start bumping her head underneath in a year.maybe 2 at the most. But its a great place for storage of toys. You have to assemble it carefully and make sure you understand some mechanics and physics to understand why and how to adjust screws. Does not work as well with carpet. The bottom drawer will hit the leg. I had to buy little slider pads at the dollar store to raise the bed by 1/4 . I used all 8 pads. If its on hardwood or solid floor, their wont be a problem. It would work best if you put a flat plywood board over the slats to keep the mattress distubution even. But the center clamps will need to be removed. 4 inch mattress works best to keep maximum rails, so definitely need the plywood. If you use 6 in mattress, you should be ok to not put plywood down. Kids under 50 lb should be ok. But as they get heavier, they will feel the slats if you only have a 4 foam mattress (not topper). Dont use just a topper. Its not firm enough. I put lights under the bed. Feels quite secure. Wish it had foam/rubber door protectors to prevent slamming. Just got some myself and put it on. Daughter LOVES the bed and the stairs makes it a lot safer. In 3 years, if she still likes and and it hasnt fallen apart, I might put 6 bed lifters on it and get a step stool or put a box under the steps to give more height. Should be a pretty cool mod to do that.
The finished product is pretty nice, but this bed was not easy to put together. I would not suggest ordering this if you are not good at improvising when things arent fitting correctly. Once we got to building the stairs we threw the directions aside and started winging it. It turned out pretty neat but it was definitely a headache!
Let me start off by saying, this was the largest project Ive ever put together by myself. It nearly killed me, but it was completed in about 4 hours with 1 break. The box was insanely heavy at over 100 lbs. There are SO many pieces to this, I nearly had a heart attack when I laid them all out. Make sure to be organised and that youre grabbing the right pieces. Some pieces may need pounded with a hammer; this was my biggest issue. Youd look at the slide in pieces and think Oh, thank God. An easy piece. Not so fast. So be prepared with a hammer. If my daughter hadnt been absolutely thrilled when she saw it, I would not have given as many stars. Assembly sucks, but the design itself was awesome.
Kids (4 and 2 years old) love the bed. 4 year old on top and 2 year old on a mattress we put on the floor. The 2 year old can go up and down the stairs easily. Have had the bed for a few months and seems sturdy. It did make a squeaking sound when moving around on it for the first couple weeks but it doesnt anymore. It also took a few hours to put together (by myself with help from the 4 year old) but relatively straight forward.
This is the second loft bed Ive purchased and this one was far more complicated to put together. It took me over 3 hours. Its very cute but colors in picture a bit off. Its more of a cream color and the steps are super hot pink. If it wasnt such a pain to put together/take apart I would contemplate returning. Box was badly damaged and cut open upon arrival. Many pieces are scratched and dinged up. The steps are cute but the bottom one doesnt fit correctly and you basically have to lift that side of the bed up to get it to slide out or in. Very irritated to see that I purchased it for 232.00 on November 5th and today it is listed at 187.00.
There are just so many pieces and its very overwhelming. It took me weeks to do because I work full time and a family. There are certain things the instructions dont tell you. Like the elbow looking bars, because its metal you need to unless the other attachments to make it more managable and then tighten again. Nonetheless, my child loved the end result.

Good but need better screws
This is a great temporary bed but the screws keep falling out!
Package easily damaged, but when all the parts are there, its great.

Worth the hassle

THE WORST to put together, but awesome once assembled

Kids love it. I love the stairs.

Cute but time consuming and beat up.
