    Decent

I would have given it a 5 star but the head boards were damaged I would have returned it if it was very damaged but it was minor

    Use for a toddler

Assembling any furniture is not easy. The bottom bunk is small, so we have our toddler there, so she doesnt have to climb or get hurt. I can sit up right under there. Top is y older daughter. It is very sturdy, and no toys or junk can go underneath it. Its a pian getting sheets on the bottom but thats because our mattress is a little thick and Im 8 months pregnant.

Pretty good overall 3.5 stars out of 5

Easy assembly, it took me and my friend 2 hours to assemble. Make sure that when your assembling you have the right parts in the exact spot bc ladder placement. We accidentally switched the two bottom side rails and had to quickly switch them around once we noticed. As others have noted this product does have an awful smell that lingers, we’ve had this product set up for 3 days and i can still smell it upon entering the room even w the windows open. After assembly I got on the top bunk to do a safety test to make sure it was sturdy before my kids used it. Although it did hold me just fine while lying down ( 170lbs) , when I got on the bed the pressure from me mounting the bed in a kneeling position caused the slat underneath me to make some sketchy cracking noise. As others have noted I added an extra set of slats to the top bunk. I had them from our old bed, but if your buying this I suggest ordering an extra set of slats and doubling up top. Lastly, the side rails of the bed have weirdly sharp edges. The entire bed actually had sharp edges. I wish they were more “rounded” edges on the wood pieces. My 4 y/o can get up using the awkward ladder just fine, and I love that I can kiss her goodnight on the on the top bunk very easily without having to climb it

Great with some tweaks: Needs more slats

The screws supplied for the two little vertical bars that tie together the middle of the safety rails on the top bunk are too short. I had to buy 8 x 1-1/2 inch screws to properly fasten those two parts. See picture. The Allen/hex key that comes with the kit is rubbish and started to strip out some of the screw heads. Fortunately I had a proper 3mm one that saved the day. The wood had one saw mark and some other dings and scratches. I was mostly able to hide these imperfections by making those pieces face the wall. I recommend the plain unstained/natural look because these imperfections are less noticeable. In my opinion, the beds need more cross slats to support the mattress. They didnt break, but the mattress did sag between slats. So I bought more for about $50 from the Wood to the World store on , product title Bed Slats Solid Pine Wood Slats Twin Bed Mattress Support Wooden Slats 39 in Long x 2.75 in Wide x 0.65 in Depth Pack of 13 Count Single Bed Replacement Parts Custom Size Cutting Service (Twin 39 in). They look identical and came with screws. I probably could have used shorter than 39 inch slats, but I got them a little long and cut them myself.

    Nice bed

Bought for 5 year old. Love the low profile. Easy to assemble, seems to stand up to normal jumping!

    Strong material

Would have given it a 5 star but for some reason one of the screws didn’t went all the way in where it was supposed to go. Over all is great I think, building instructions where easy to follow.

Everything is great except the steps

This bed is good overall, except the steps are placed in a vertical position, with less than an inch of wood for your foot to stand on. Its painful! My daughter jumps out of the bed because her feet hurt so bad using the steps. If the steps were horizontal it would be a perfect bed. Another thing is that since the bed is so low to the ground, we keep hitting our heads off the top bunk, so I cut a pool noodle and added it to the top bunk rail and now we bump our heads on soft noodle not wood. We like everything else about this sturdy, easy to assemble bed. The wood is also very pretty. And the top bunk is only 4 feet off the ground so its easy to change bed sheets.

Not sturdy - large crack in less than a year

We bought this bed for our two and four-year-old approximately six months ago. We were happy with the design but unfortunately there are cracks all over the place making it unsafe for the top bunk kid. The crack on the leg is almost the entire length. Purchased less than 9 months ago
