We are not sleep training parents. We snuggle to sleep and ninja out. Inevitably, our kid would end up in our bed at 2 am and I was too tired to do anything about it. Sleep was more precious that consistency.
Enter this amazing bunk bed, a gift for our newly minted 3 year old. I looked for one that could withstand kid activity for years to come. I hate buying junk! This is , not solid but composite, still way better than cheap MDF or others. Instructions were labeled well and parts were numbered. I put this together alone in a few hours with helpful distractions from my toddler.
He loves this bed more than anything hes ever loved. Its a pirate ship, a castle, a fort, a jungle gym, a relaxing reading lounge. He hasnt stopped playing in it and the BEST part is hes excited to sleep in it! We told him adults are too big for his cool bed and he just went with it. Its low enough that we can stand comfortably for stories and good night hugs. Kiddo hasnt tried to get in our bed once in two weeks and now sleeps through the ENTIRE night. Best purchase ever.
The only con Ive found is the slide angle is too steep so he is scared of it. If I purchased again Id skip the slide version. Though, it is fun for stuffed animals to go down.
The sturdiness of this bed surpasses other beds. In fact I am 55 and 190 and I can sleep on the top bunk with my 30lb daughter without worry about it falling on my son underneath. Description says each bed can hold 400 lbs .
For us, we chose this because American pediatric association says not to put children under 6 on the top bunk. Our daughter is 3 and my son is 2 but we needed a bunk bed since our living situation got downsized. So having a lower top bunk seemed to make sense. In addition we bought something off called a privacy tent and it fully enclosed my daughters top bunk bed since she is a crazy sleeper and literally throws herself in different directions while sleeping. The tent was a great addition and Im so thankful for it. She has lunged herself over the edge and the tent softly rebounded her back to where she was supposed to be. Make sure to look for a tent that goes underneath the mattress and not one that attaches to side bars and only goes over if you choose to do this too.
The inside the tent can get a little warmer than the rest of the room but for us that was not an issue as we sleep with the ac but Ive seen other reviews use a fan or open the mesh, it just depends on your situation. My daughter says its not warmer inside but I can feel a slight difference.
The only issue to consider is that the low bunk bed has little space for a larger child or adult. Also for me , because my son is very heavy for a 2 year old, putting him into the lower bed while hes asleep can be difficult, but which is something to consider especially if they crawl into your bed at night and you put them back.
I also think the low head space in the bottom bunk makes them outgrow it faster HOWEVER , given the opportunity I would choose this bed over and over again against competitors.
Built literally by myself, just once I needed my husband to hold a piece up. Super easy to put together, directions are easy to follow. Very nice, perfect for my kids, they love it. Ive had it for a good 9 months now and its still good as new.
Easy to put together. Took 2 people 3 hours to put it together. Our 2.5 year old loves the bottom bunk and sleeps so well. Our 4.5 year old loves the top. Love the color!
We received this with one of the upper beams cracked. My husband was able to use that one on the bottom for safety, but the bed doesnt look as nice and we paid a lot of money to receive it like that, but it would have been too much trouble to return. A little disappointed.

Super cute, looks much more expensive than it was
This bed is super cute, and looks high quality. Just know It takes a while to put together, and you need two people. Very happy with this purchase.

Great value for the money
It was easy to assemble with two people. I like that its low to the floor. Its good quality for the price paid.

Excellent product
Easy to put together! Great bunk beds!
Nice, but arrived broken

Hard to assemble
Directions have no words, and a couple of the boards had a scuff on them.
