For anyone who thinks this is too hard to assemble let me assure you its not. It did take a little time in the beginning, but once we got going it went fast. You will need a drill but a good hand screwdriver is needed as well. Everything was clearly labeled and the directions were easy to follow. I highly recommend pulling all the pieces out first and making sure nothing is damaged. I was able to complete the two sides alone and when my husband got home he helped with the rest. It took a total of four hours with an hour and a half of me working alone organizing the pieces and building the two sides, and Im sure it wouldve gone faster had my husband been there the whole time. Everything feels sturdy and my girls love the slide.
This short bunk bed is perfect for my 7 and 2 year old. Standard twin size mattress fits just right. I am very pleased with the quality of the materials. I would recommend to anyone looking for a short bunk bed.
Good bunk bed for a small child. I can get on the top bed as a 200lb male but I wouldnt recommend it. Not all parts are painted thick enough to cover the underneath but its not that bad. Biggest problem I had was my own fault. Do not over tighten the bolts! You will split the real fast that way. I put some glue in it and clamped it down till dried. Other than that its well worth the money.
Whenever I see my daughters sleep comfortably on this bed I rest assured that they are safe. Make sure to spend some time assembling and pay attention to the directions we had to open one piece and reinstall it again.
We needed a bunk for our cottage. It is in the same room as a queen bed, so we wanted to coordinate looks.
I didnt want it to overwhelm the room with our clipped ceilings.
AND I wanted to be able to make the bed with out having Cirque Du Soliel pulleys hoisting me up.
This low bunk does the trick. I centered it on the window wall rather than in a corner. So much easier to make a bunk bed.
This does not have as much space between the bunks as I would like. But its better than others. Even the 7 year old can not sit up straight in the bottom bunk.
But I used the 8+ in twin mattress we had from before. If I bought one, Id go with a 6 or possibly 5 in mattress for more head room. But its fine. It works for people with little ones - they wont get hurt if they roll out of bed.
ASSEMBLY: You need 2 people, and you need to look at the picture instructions VERY closely to make sure you have left vs right side, inside vs outside, etc.
If you do that, the holes line up perfectly.
We used the Allen wrench that came with the set. Thats all we needed.
It took us several hours, but it has a nice solid feel.
There are less expensive versions of low bunks. I wanted at least 30-36 in of headroom. And I wanted to be able to assemble it with the least amount of drama, trauma and swear words.
Its worth the extra money.

Easy set up. Kids love it. We bought an extra slat kit.
Instructions can be a tad unclear at times.

Wrong bed delivered
Receiver a completely different bed. Only was a loft bed, not a bunk bed.
