I absolutely love this bed. The only thing that I would have changed was buying a slim box spring for the mattress. I improvised and got some plywood cut to the size of the frame and screwed to the wooden slats that came with the bed. It makes no noise, it is very sturdy and looks beautiful.
I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this as there were a decent amount of negative reviews about broken boards or damaged pieces but besides one small mark in a corner (easily covered up), everything arrived in perfect condition and it was pretty easy to put together. It feels quite sturdy and Im very happy with the price for what we got. We just built it today so I cant speak about the long term but Im very impressed right now.
Pictures of our bed show it with a 14 mattress on it.
This bed is very solid and looks great in my girls room. The pieces weren't well labeled so assembly took longer than needed but overall it was together in an hour. No creaks or squeaks whatsoever.
We bought the bed and the matching under-bed drawers. Everything fit together very nicely. Parts are numbered and marked L and R to make assembly easier. Holes lined up, screws fit. The drawers fit perfectly under the bed. I am extremely sensitive to odor, and there really wasn't much of a smell. This is made of solid wood, not particle board. We bought 1/4 inch plywood to put over the slats to support the mattress. The slats may be spaced a bit far apart, but we didn't try the bed with just the slats so I can't say for sure. We used 8 moderately firm mattresses, decent quality. They work very well on this bed. I am impressed with the way the bed and drawers were carefully planned, labeled and manufactured. One trick that made assembly easier - put the top lip of the piece which holds the white slats that make up the front and back of the bed on the floor with the holes facing up. Insert the slats and then put the bottom piece on while it's still upside down. It helps if someone holds one end to keep the slats in place while someone else guides the slats into position. Hold on tightly to the top and bottom when you flip it over. That was the only tricky part of the entire assembly. My granddaughter was extremely pleased with her new bed. I feel we made a good choice, and would recommend this bed to others. I am going to look for a dresser next.
Absolutely love this bed! It was easy to build and looks very sophisticated for a tween bedroom. I was very disappointed that there was some marks on the frame black lines to be exact. Delivery what's a little bit late.
Bought this set for my 6 and 8 year old girls. They love them. Came in box, undamaged, and on-time. Easy to assemble and overall very sturdy. The side rail gives a little, but once the top mattress was installed, don't notice it as much. I bought 2 10-inch hybrid mattresses that work great. Wish there was a little more head room when sitting on the bottom bunk...but the kids don't notice it at all. I'm 5'3 and can't really sit up comfortably on the bottom bunk. Maybe an 8-inch mattress would work better, but I didn't want to sacrifice comfort. Overall...great purchase and love that the beds can separate to twins when the girls get older.
First off, assembly was frustrating due to two things:
1. Instructions were ONLY pictures, no text indicating any specifics.
2. There are only instructions for how to assemble the beds into bunks. I got to the beginning of the second bed before I realized there was a problem.
After assembly they felt sturdy structurally but they scratch and dent VERY easily. Just the act of assembly caused dings and dents so I anticipate much more wear as tear to come as my girls use them.
They are nice beds that I can see growing with them as we can eventually use them bunk style.

Cute and Sturdy!
Extremely sturdy, strong enough for an adult to lay on. Very cute and perfect for my child who is transitioning to a twin.
This bed is awesome.

Good purchase
Worth the buy. Will have to retighten a few times once in use. But the kids seem to enjoy it. Assembly was a breeze other than continued maintenance
