Beautiful storage bench. I love it! I use to store my husbands work clothes or else hed just dump them on the floor Only 4 stars because the lid support thats controls the open/shut movement from inside, arrived with dull spring and doesnt work so I didnt use it. Have to close it *slowly* myself or else it will slam on my fingers.
I like the bench overall. It is comfortable to set on and the pads dont slide. The only negative is the base of the inside storage is thin. We are scared to put anything in it because it might break.
Hard as a rock! Barely adequate for looks, super uncomfortable. Was fairly easy to put together, holds together well. Decent storage. But by no means a piece of furniture to use for anything other than decoration or to fill a space.
Perfect. Exactly what I wanted and exactly how it is described except for maybe the color. The color says Walnut but its a bit red. Not nearly as red as Cherrywood but it still has a slight red hint to it. The box and packaging came to me in perfect condition and in record time. Assembly was somewhat easy. I am a senior women under 5 tall and I was able to assemble it myself. A second pair of hands wouldve been nice to help flip it over and to hold a flashlight but eh! - thats minor. Assembly instructions are just diagrams so it takes a bit of time to figure out but still not a problem. Suggestion: You may consider applying glue to the wood dowels, either a wood glue or gorilla glue. It doesnt require it but that would make it a bit sturdier. I would recommend this bench to anyway.
Purchased as puppy protection for our shoes at the entry, this bench is much prettier than anticipated and looks and feels more expensive than it was. We didnt take the plastic off of the cushion (kids and white cloth dont last) and plan to recover, but all in all its a great, useful and practical bench that looks good in the entryway.
My husband has put together many shelving pieces but this storage bench is durable. The quality and price are hard to beat. I am waiting on my storage to be delivered and my bench will be complete. I have the perfect spot chosen in my livingroom. Thank you for an awesome piece of furniture.

Very nice however when my kids slide the baskets it scuffs the wood and removes the paint. The baskets need felt under them.
