But really great buy for the price and gets the job done

Item arrived promptly and as described. The drawers sit in it slightly off and during construction some of the ply wood broke while trying to screw. But really great buy for the price and gets the job done. I think it worked exactly how we needed it to.

Great for the price and not hard to put together!

Dont be intimidated by the three boxes this bed arrives in. After reading other reviews I was very apprehensive about putting this together by myself, and thought I would end up having to call for help, but managed to do it all by myself Just for review purpose I will tell you I am a 49 year old female. If you read the instructions and follow it step by step, and just take your time, it goes together really well. Only thing I found was at one point in the instructions it tells you to place the JR Nuts everywhere they are supposed to go, this is pointless because they fall out while you are trying to move the rails around and get the ones you are working on tightened, so after chasing them around the floor a few times I just removed them and placed them at the point I was working on. I do like putting things together and while this was slightly challenging, it really wasnt difficult. Have been sleeping on this with my new memory foam mattress for 3 weeks now and I love it. Highly recommend!

    Love love love

Its been a dream, assembly was a chore, but then again I did it alone. Took about 2-3 hours. It is well worth it, love the frame, loooovvveee the extra storage.

    Perfect for the price

Perfect for the price. But falls apart under rough sex, because of the composite particle board. Especially the midline bolts on either side of the bed.

The product was easy to put together and a good quality for our guest room. The Twin-XL frame was just what we wanted, though our Twin-XL mattress is a tight fit, end to end, in the frame. Otherwise, its a great addition to our guest room.

    So far, so good!

I just received this yesterday and got it put together. Install: It took 4-5 hours of putting it together. Not difficult, just lots of pieces and lots of patience needed. My fella did it, pretty much entirely by himself and had no issues. It looks very nice in my room. Quality: I knew when I ordered this I wasnt ordering solid wood, high quality materials so I am not disappointed by what I received. I am hopeful that it will hold up if taken proper care of. Can you cram the drawers full of heavy stuff and expect them not to buckle? No. But they provide awesome extra storage space. I added some wood glue to mine when putting the bottoms in them. Can you expect to beat and bang around the frame and not scratch it up? No. The slats are not as flimsy as I expected and provide pretty good support. It is possible I will eventually replace the slats with a piece of plywood if they begin to get flimsy. So far Im pleased. My king size mattress is delivered today and then I will get a better feel for how stable the bed feels when sleeping.

    Like other reviewer mentioned

Like other reviewer mentioned, you get what you paid for. I have no complaints really. Was easy to put together on own. Its stable enough when all bolted together. I did have to re-drill/clean up one or two holes to make sure they aligned, but wasnt a big deal. One small aspect is that the drawers do not have handles sticking out so that one can not bash ones shins up! I would recommend it.

Perfect Platform Bed for Small Rooms

I purchased two of these, one for my daughter and one for my son. Teenagers. They both love it. We all put together the first one, I put together the second one on my own. You definitely want to put it together in the room. It is fairly solid construction. At first, I noticed the draws didnt seem to sit straight. I undid the hardware and reinstalled it all to no avail. Then it dawned on me, this unit is not completely solid tight. So by moving one side or the other, it caused the drawers to line up correctly. Bear this in mind because the slats that hold the mattress are not fixed. I would say it is a floating design. This makes the framework flexible. By moving the framework a little bit, then the drawers will lay flat against the side of the platform bed. Make sense? Now, the drawers closest to the front of the bed where pillows would be - if you have a night table stand, then it renders those drawers useless. Of course I didnt realize this until the room was set up. So unless you are planning on having no night table stands, then you really have four (4) usable drawers. Overall, my son and daughter are very happy with the product. It is heavy and has no movement or sound when you are sitting/laying on the bed. I bought the matching night table stands along with a desk in the same color, and the room is dramatic with black as the foundation color for their brightly colored bedding. Excellent purchase for the price. I was not looking to spend $800 for a teenagers room, so this price point was perfect and the quality very, very good. A couple of the slats were a little warped but it is not an issue once you lay the mattress on it. By the way, it doesnt need a box spring. If you used a box spring, then you are looking for a very high profile bed because depending on the depth of a box spring, the mattress would be way above the sides. I would think it would make the mattress less stable. On the other hand, not having a box spring makes it a tad difficult to tuck the sheets under the mattress because the sides come up about 2 inches above the bottom of the mattress. But its a small price to pay in my opinion, not a big deal.
