I bought this so I could use the storage areas under the bench. After spending all the time putting it together theres no way those sliding doors are going to slide. Therefore they are useless to storing items inside I am so disappointed. Just dont get this one its not the right one for you now Im stuck with a piece of furniture that doesnt work
We purchased this bench to use in our living room to store blankets. We were impressed that it was delivered earlier than expected and came fully assembled with no damage. The bench required a little bit of cleaning since it had a chalky powder on the wood but was no trouble to vacuum and wipe down. The cushion was in perfect condition. This color is Vintage White.
This shoe bench worked out perfect for the space I had which didnt have much room. It fit and I am so glad to be able to put the shoes away. I didnt like the look of shoes on the rug by the door, nice neat look.
Id buy this again. As good as assemble yourself furniture gets. Real wood with a nice finish. Looks really good sitting in the corner by the door. My wife is happy.
Sturdiness: The sticker on the back shows a weight limit of 200lbs. Its as sturdy as any assemble yourself bench.
Easy to assemble. My unit did have pre-installed dowels on the top that did not slide easily by hand into the holes on one of the sides. A light tap with a rubber mallet against a piece of scrap wood to spread the force of the blow and they slid in place. It took 15 minutes to put it together.
The baskets are ok. They are wicker baskets - what do you expect from wicker basement?
All in all this is a good value for the money.
I was looking forward to this piece for my new home. However, the installation was awful due to misalignment of pre drilled holes and the hinges on the lid.
