    Sturdy Materials

Positives: The house is very sturdy and looks very cute. For two people it was pretty simple to put together, it took about 1-2 hours. Negatives: Ours arrived with slight damage on one side. We could turn it towards the wall, so it isn't as visible, but subtracting a star for damage on arrival. You can smell that the house was newly painted when you open it, which doesn't bother me. What did bother me was the paint runs you can see on the posts of the house. Took one star for that reason.

    Love it!

Exactly what I had hoped for. Delivery service was on time and professional. Assembly was easy but does take a bit of time (3 hoursish). Very sturdy and looks amazing. My son absolutely loves it! I put a 12 inch box mattress inside and it fits great. I recommend this product.

Very nice furniture, assembly manageable for one person. Recommend over RH and PB products!

We looked at a PB and RH at beds costing $2,000-3000, and decided this was a great alternative for half the price. One difference is that PB and RH assemble theirs on delivery, so I dreaded putting this item together, and I even tried to purchase assembly through for $150 (they canceled it because a service provider could not be found in my area). Im actually glad that my assembly service was canceled, because I was able to assemble it by myself in a couple of hours and it wouldnt have been worth the $150 I was paying. The most difficult part was the roof, only because each side is somewhat heavy and had to be lifted overhead. However like I said I was able to do it by myself, so not too bad. The finished product once assembled is very nice quality. I dont notice any smell as suggested by previous reviewers. The window and door covers are faux, they dont roll down, which is quite fine with us but I mention just in case anyone wonders. Paint and finish on the wood is very nice and smooth. My son is very excited about his new bed, and we think it looks very nice in his room. Highly recommend, and dont be intimidated about assembly, its not bad at all. Wonderful value compared to PB and RH high dollar products with comparable (if not equal) quality.

Smells like heavy duty toxic chemicals

I am super disappointed in the chemical off gassing of this product for my child. Hes been waiting for 3 weeks now but I cant let him in his room still because it smells so strong. This is awful for a kids product to be so ridden with chemicals. Its been pure torture for him and Im not sure how or why its still smelling so strong with windows open 24/7 and 4 weeks now tomorrow . How do I get a hold of the manufacturer so they can help remedy this situation. We paid almost $1,000 for this bed and its just occupying my sons room and he cant sleep in it. Thx

    Nice, with many caveats

This is a nice looking bet house but with quite many caveats. The most critical thing is make sure you do not tighten everything all the way, especially when putting up the roof panel. So lets go by one one: 1) those 3 boxes are very heavy! Pay the extra $25 to have delivery to your room. I didnt do that, what a mistake! 2) when putting the roof, make sure you have 2-3 people to do the job. Unlike the house panels, the roof scratches very easily! Also, when tightening the roof with the meal screws, do it so gently and gradually on both sides ... we made the mistake of one side at a time, which caused the center spine to get warped, which ended up damaging the roof and made it uneven. We had to jump thru hoops to get them installed correctly again 3) the two top rails are different - the one with more holes are at the door side. The side with deeper threads are facing outside of the house, not inside 4) the center floor support is flimsy - definitely not for heavy kids or jumpy / bouncy kids It took us about 6 hours to our this together (Ive tea breaks and debate on the confusing manual and fixing our mistakes included)
