It took a while but we finally received it and it is beautiful. Fits great in my granddaughters small bedroom and she has her desk sitting perfectly under it for homework. She loves it. A great solution for the smaller room.
Pros: Assembly wasnt bad, side walls are high enough that we feel our 7 year old daughter is safe on the top bunk. It has plenty of room for our 4 year old on the bottom. Looks decent.
Cons: Very wobbly (I will be securing it to the wall of the bedroom to fix this. This Bunk is fine for our younger daughters 4 and 7, but I cant imagine this bunk bed being strong enough for kids over 80lbs or so. For rough playing kids, forget it, it will break. Also because of its weakness, we have a rule that only one person can be on the top bunk at a time. It will no doubt break with too much weight.
The horizontal long bar that holds all the rungs for the mattress is not strong enough. The ladder improves its strength slightly on one side, but the other side is quite weak.
The bed itself is actually quite nice. But omg the frickin instructions. I had to come here to the reviews to see why the ladder, which of course is the last piece to install, wouldnt attach. The poor instructions added an extra hour of having to disassemble and reassemble. Time I couldve better well spent watching iZombie and eating pizza.
So far so good,,had about i year with 2 teenagers about 150 lbs each. Holding up ok.....ladder got loose but I tightened it before it got worse.
Keep an eye on bolts loosening up......its pretty durable.....took a while to put it together.
So far so good! Im a single mom with 2 little girls, we live in a smaller 2 story condo and my girls share a room. My oldest (6 picked out this loft bed about 5 months ago and this week I finally decided to surprise her and purchase it! It took my boyfriend about 1 1/2 hours to assemble it and its exactly how I envisioned it. Great for space saving, I even purchased a full sized sofa bed (lays out to a twin size bed off to go underneath the loft bed so they have a chill spot! My youngest was upgraded from a toddler bed to my oldest daughters daybed, which has a pull out/pop up trundle bed underneath it. So we now have a total of 4 beds in their room and still plenty of space to move around!! Anyone nervous about it being metal and making that horrible screeching noise, DONT. Weve had this metal day bed in my family for 10 years and thats never been a problem. So I highly doubt this loft bed will do it either! Great price and great quality. I will update this review within a few months to share how its doing semi long term.
Bought this since it had a high approval rating and wasnt too expensive. Very pleased! Bottom mattress is 9 with a 1-2 pillow top/plush top, and I can sit on the bottom bunk and read to the kids without bumping my head or it being too dark. Ladder rungs hurt my feet if I climb them barefoot, but the kids dont seem to mind, and Ill get used to it. I put a pool noodle on the ladder rungs to see if that would help spread out the load on my feet - that didnt do much. Very sturdy, easy to put together, bed doesnt come up off the floor when climbing the ladder. Just make sure you pay attention to where youre putting the openings to mount the ladder, as other reviewers have said. Black version with black hardware is very good looking. The side rails on top didnt seem like theyd fit, because the holes didnt quite match up, but after getting all the screws in and tightening them all slowly in turn, everything ended up together well and tightened up nicely. No problems with shaking, nice and sturdy. Love the 250 lb weight limit per bed.

Love this loft bed
Love this loft bed. We put a queen under it going straight out since a queen doesnt quite fit going vertical along with the twin!! Very handy!
