Wow, this loft is aming! Since no one has the dimensions of this loft, here it is L-6.5ft H-5.11ft W-3.6ft (completely made. I am 6ft tall and i fit just right in this bed and the space inside the loft (with the desk is actually a lot of room. The bed is very sturdy if you assembled it right.
Bad news: It did take me over 4+ hours to finish and the instructions werent that great. Just take your time and try not to get frustrated. This is a two man job! try to get a friend to help you out. The ladder on the sides are indeed what everyone is saying, it hurts because they are so thin.
All in all this loft is great if you need the space!
Huge number of parts - around 350 as I recall. Entirely too much work for the money. Took me hours to put together and Im good at such things. Go to Ikea.
I use this bunk for camping. I had a Horton Hauler custom made for this purpose. When we arrive at our campsite we take the top bunk down and make two twin beds. It is light allowing us to haul more gear.
This is a nice sturdy bed. Our son loves it for his room and he is an adult. He weighs about 125 lbs and is about 57 tall. So he isnt a large person but finds the bed comfortable and sturdy enough for his weight and height. And he loves having a desk and easy chair under the bed so he has room for those things in a small bedroom. The one complaint and the only reason it doesnt get a 5 star rating would be the ladder placement and the rungs hurt his feet when he climbs up. Wish there was an option to place the ladder in the front or over to the other side but it is just how it looks in the picture.
All the parts were present in the packaging; which was good. There were no dents, scrapes, bends, or missing pieces. Purchased this for my two of my daughters. My oldest daughter put it together with one of her friends. They needed a little help with the mattress support gap filling plastic pieces (they are stiff to insert after the supports. The whole thing went together with a couple of allen-wrenches (provided. Sturdy enough for my two girls. Light, so can be easily moved. Even with the mattresses on the bed, it was still easily moved.
Cost is the only problem! this fit nicely under our twin bed. seems sturdy so far, wheel connection much better than the rounded option we previously bought on .
WARNING: I started to assemble this bed today and it was not making sense. The parts did not match the image in the directions. I called the manufacturer, the first person I spoke with said maybe they were mislabeled and I should try to switch the parts. Then I found another part that did not match. I called again. The second person I spoke with said, Oh, sorry. The directions and parts have changed, you received the old directions. REALLY!!! She then emailed me a PDF of the correct directions. They did make sense, but saying that, there is no way anyone could do this in an hour. Also, the slats are a pain to insert and the plastic tabs that hold them in place are very difficult to insert. I put them in boiling water to soften them up. This helped a LOT! It is finally assembled and does seem pretty sturdy. Most bunk beds have an opening. This bed requires you to lift your legs over the bars. Again, dont even begin to assemble unless you are certain you have the correct directions. Good Luck. (P.S. When I called the manufacturer I actually got a live person on the phone with the first ring - aming!!
This bed has a high metal cage surrounding the upper bunk, which is good. The entire bed is about 6 lower than another futon bunk bed that we have. I would prefer that it be higher, because adults may have to duck when getting out of the futon sofa. It also sits lower to the floor, which means less under-bed storage. Our other futon bunk bed has unobstructed 10.5 clearance below the futon, which means we can easily put a trundle bed or storage under it.
Most of these bunk beds will move if the person above moves around a lot, but the bed is not in danger of collapsing. Assembly is not for the faint-of-heart, but my 15 year old son put it together in about 3 hours.
One nice thing is that there is a ladder on BOTH ends of the bed, so if you move it, there is still a ladder at the end of the bed! Most bunk beds have only one ladder.
Overall, Im happy with my purchase.
Great sturdy bed. It took about 2 hours to put together but it is worth it. My son used this bed for 3 years and its held up very well. Never any issues. The ladder isnt great and tends to hurt bare feet but if you have another ladder or pad the rungs its fine. (We used the swim noodles and cut them to fit. Worked great!
I had misplaced the instructions and emailed Customer Service simply asking for the Assembly Instructions for the Metal Loft Bed with Desk and within 5 minutes, Amanda emailed me both versions (with without desk of instructions. I was shocked at how fast and accurate their response was. Id give 10 stars if they had that option to review them! :

Not Cost Effective If You Value Your Time

Fits the bill for my need

Works as intended.
Pleased with quality and price. Took a long time to assemble. Mattress was slightly bigger than frame, but we made it work.

Worked for what I purchased it for; well made.
