I just finished putting this together; my kids (8 and 4 are sleeping in it now (or at least lying in it. Overall, I think this is a high quality product and very reasonably priced. But as other reviewers have mentioned, its a bear to put together. A few tips to make it easier:
Think (and read ahead! A lot of the parts are symmetrical, or at least appear that way without very careful inspection. Only after you reach a subsequent step that requires you to attach something else to two subtle holes in the middle of a large piece will you realize you put it together backwards. I did this several times, at different stages, which was really frustrating. It would help if they put some pointers in the instructions (as in, make sure side with holes is facing inward.
The small bolts and the medium bolts are very close in size. Be careful not to mix them up or youll end up without enough of one or the other.
The washers stick together. Be careful not to use two instead of one or youll run out.
Tighten, but not too much! The screws can easily be stripped if you overtighten.
Finally, the *!@$%$ plastic clips. These can go from infuriating to fairly simple if you know two things. First, the clips are not symmetrical; they only go in one way. The two vertical bars run all the way to what should be the bottom of the clip, but do not run all the way to the top. If you try to put one in the other way, youre in for a long afternoon/evening. Second, pliars. I know the clips are plastic and seem fragile. But your thumbs are fragile too, and there are a LOT of these clips to put in. Some of them snap in without much effort, but most of them were really tough. Only after my thumbs were about to fall off did I decide to risk pliars. Turns out the pliars worked great, as long as youre careful with them. They may scratch the paint a little, but I decided I could live with that. Result: thumbs recovering and no broken clips.
In the end, the bed seems very solid. I climbed up on the top bunk to test it before letting my daughter up there. Felt very solid, even for me (Im about 160 pounds.
Good luck!
We bought 2 of these for our kids room. They really opened up the space. Good and solid contruction. Didnt take that long to put together if you can follow picture directions. Creaking that people have noticed is from not getting the hardware tight enough, which is hard with the included tools (but do not over tighten!
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to assemble, easily supports a growing teenager
Cons: Get your own wrenches to set this up (incuded tools will torque and bend, Look closely at the pictures/hole positions (there are no english written instructions, just pictures,
The beds look great! They do take a little while to put together, but nothing is too complicated. The directions are fairly clear, but it is also helpful to read the reviews of others to make sure you get everything right.
I love how sleek this bunk bed is. Its sturdy but still not too bulky. My kids love it. The only thing I would say is needs better instructions for the ladder part of bed. Had to take apart and redo when part of bed was incorrect for the ladder. Kids love it. I have a 12 year old and 6 year old. perfect.
I have now owned this bunk bed for a month and love it. It is very solid and standing up to my 2 sons (4, 10. The assembly took about 2 hours. It isnt hard, just takes time. You are able to put together the entire bed with 2 allen wrenches (comes with them. I was a little scared originally about ordering these frame but I would recommend this to anyone looking for bunk beds.
It took a little while to put together, but this works great. I bought this along with a Signature Sleep Essential 6-Inch Twin Mattress, to have an extra mattress that can be stored under a kids bed, in case we have more visitors than our guest room will accommodate.
It is a much better alternative than a blow up mattress, and easily slid under the bed. I would recommend this.
The bed is fairly sturdy, but does wobble a little. The ladder rings do hurt your feet so you will need to purchase foam pipe insulation (the kind that has the split down the center to pad the rails. You might want to put some up top as well for safety. The directions are vague but common sense will help you thru that. Other than that, my boys really like the bed. It took us about 3.5 hours to put together. Not fun but the boys enjoyed it. And its over now so it really doesnt matter. All in all, for the money, we love the bed. Also, the ladder ends up being at the front of the futon, not the back as shown in the picture. Maybe that was an error on our part, but it worked out better in our room layout so we are happy. The futon is fairly easy for an adult to convert and is super comfy with the 8 inch futon mattress sold on . We like it. Were happy. Good purchase.
Firstly, assembly was easy - included an alan wrench the right size for all bolts used in the process, and straightforward. The bed is high enough to allow room for my desk(living in a small apartment, this was the key factor in deciding to buy this bed, and low enough that I still have headroom with my ceilings at 91 inches.
The only thing preventing a perfect review on my part is how wobbly the frame is - the supports are rather thin and it rocks back and forward even after tightening every bolt possible. Id attach it to the wall were it not an apartment, but obviously thats not doable in my current situation.
Would recommend to anyone looking to increase space in an apartment or dorm.

Value for money
My kids love it, assembly takes about 3 hours, but value for money. Its sturdy and spacious enough for 3 people to sleep
Nice for the price
