We bought this loft bed two months ago for my college aged daughter. She shares a small room with another girl, and wanted more room to store her stuff. This loft bed was perfect for that. She has her desk and a bean bag chair stored underneath, and they fit perfectly.
This took hours for my boyfriend to put together. We also kept having to take it apart because the pieces were not sliding into place. We were basically done with the bed when we realized that the most important part, the ladder that attaches to the frame, was to long for the bed. I had to contact customer service. It took a week before I could actually sleep on it but customer service was responsive. Overall its a nice frame and it gives me more space in my room.
My teen and preteen daughters each received one of these beds for their birthday. The bed assembled according to instructions, both beds in about 2 hours. No missing pieces, no scratches or dents. They have climbed into the beds and no squeaking. Their old beds squeaked loudly. So far we are pleased with this purchase.
Easy to put together. Very well constructed especially liked the mechanisms to keep the metal slats evenly spaced and locked into place. Fit snugly under day bed with a separately purchased 6 mattress.
A king fits perpendicularly below! Us two parents wanted to transition from bedsharing in our king with our 4 5 year olds to a bunk bed/loft bed where we can sleep in our king below and they sleep above us in the full. We found the perfect 6 platform frame that our king memory foam mattress sits upon, a nice 8 memory foam full mattress for them and it all works great! We did go to hardware store and but nylon washers (see pics and glad we did because it prevents squeaking and for some reason one bar was about 1/3-1/2 inch shy of meeting its connecting bar...so we used them as spacers and used a longer screw of our own (see photos. Anyways, we are happy. And in a few years, we can move our king out and slide a twin in with a small nightstand and both kids will be good to go for many years.
